1. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

3. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
3. "Confie-toi en l`Éternel, et pratique le bien; Aie le pays pour demeure et la fidélité pour pâture."

4. Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
4. Fais de l`Éternel tes délices, Et il te donnera ce que ton coeur désire.
4. Miravoravoa koa amin' i Jehovah ianao, dia homeny anao izay irin' ny fonao.
5. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
5. Recommande ton sort à l`Éternel, Mets en lui ta confiance, et il agira.
5. Ankino amin' i Jehovah ny lalanao, ary matokia koa azy, dia hataony tanteraka.
6. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
6. Il fera paraître ta justice comme la lumière, Et ton droit comme le soleil à son midi.
6. Ary hampiseho ny fahamarinanao tahaka ny mazava Izy, ary ny rariny ho anao tahaka ny mitataovovonana.
7. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
7. "Garde le silence devant l`Éternel, et espère en lui; Ne t`irrite pas contre celui qui réussit dans ses voies, Contre l`homme qui vient à bout de ses mauvais desseins."

8. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
8. "Laisse la colère, abandonne la fureur; Ne t`irrite pas, ce serait mal faire."
8. "Mitsahara amin' ny fahatezerana, ary mahafoiza ny fahavinirana; aoka tsy hirehitra na oviana na oviana ny fahatezeranao, ka hanao ratsy."
9. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
9. Car les méchants seront retranchés, Et ceux qui espèrent en l`Éternel posséderont le pays.

10. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
12. Le méchant forme des projets contre le juste, Et il grince des dents contre lui.

13. The LORD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
13. Le Seigneur se rit du méchant, Car il voit que son jour arrive.
13. Ny Tompo hihomehy azy, satria hitany fa ho tonga ny androny.
14. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
14. Les méchants tirent le glaive, Ils bandent leur arc, Pour faire tomber le malheureux et l`indigent, Pour égorger ceux dont la voie est droite.

15. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
15. Leur glaive entre dans leur propre coeur, Et leurs arcs se brisent.

16. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
16. "Mieux vaut le peu du juste Que l`abondance de beaucoup de méchants;"

17. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
17. Car les bras des méchants seront brisés, Mais l`Éternel soutient les justes.
17. "Fa ny sandrin' ny ratsy fanahy ho tapatapaka; fa Jehovah manohana ny marina;"
18. The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
18. L`Éternel connaît les jours des hommes intègres, Et leur héritage dure à jamais.
18. "Fantatr' i Jehovah ny andron' ny mahitsy; ary ny lovany ho mandrakizay."
19. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
19. Ils ne sont pas confondus au temps du malheur, Et ils sont rassasiés aux jours de la famine.
19. "Tsy mba ho menatra amin' ny andro fahoriana ireny; ary amin' ny taona mosarena dia ho voky izy."
20. But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
20. "Mais les méchants périssent, Et les ennemis de l`Éternel, comme les plus beaux pâturages; Ils s`évanouissent, ils s`évanouissent en fumée."

21. The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
21. "Le méchant emprunte, et il ne rend pas; Le juste est compatissant, et il donne."

22. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
22. Car ceux que bénit l`Éternel possèdent le pays, Et ceux qu`il maudit sont retranchés.

23. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
23. "L`Éternel affermit les pas de l`homme, Et il prend plaisir à sa voie;"

24. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
24. S`il tombe, il n`est pas terrassé, Car l`Éternel lui prend la main.

25. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
25. "J`ai été jeune, j`ai vieilli; Et je n`ai point vu le juste abandonné, Ni sa postérité mendiant son pain."
25. "Efa mba tanora ihany aho, ary efa antitra ankehitriny; fa tsy mbola hitako izay marina nafoy, na ny zanany mangataka hanina."
26. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
26. "Toujours il est compatissant, et il prête; Et sa postérité est bénie."
26. "Miantra mandrakariva izy ka mampisambotra; ary ny taranany hotahiana."
27. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
27. Détourne-toi du mal, fais le bien, Et possède à jamais ta demeure.

28. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
28. "Car l`Éternel aime la justice, Et il n`abandonne pas ses fidèles; Ils sont toujours sous sa garde, Mais la postérité des méchants est retranchée."

29. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
29. Les justes posséderont le pays, Et ils y demeureront à jamais.

30. The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
30. La bouche du juste annonce la sagesse, Et sa langue proclame la justice.

31. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
31. "La loi de son Dieu est dans son coeur; Ses pas ne chancellent point."

32. The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
32. Le méchant épie le juste, Et il cherche à le faire mourir.
32. Mitsikilo ny marina ny ratsy fanahy ka mitady hahafaty azy.
33. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
33. L`Éternel ne le laisse pas entre ses mains, Et il ne le condamne pas quand il est en jugement.

34. Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
34. "Espère en l`Éternel, garde sa voie, Et il t`élèvera pour que tu possèdes le pays; Tu verras les méchants retranchés."
34. "Miandrasa an' i Jehovah, ka tandremo ny lalany, dia hanandratra anao handova ny tany Izy; ho hitanao ny hamongorana ny ratsy fanahy."
35. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
35. "J`ai vu le méchant dans toute sa puissance; Il s`étendait comme un arbre verdoyant."
35. Efa hitako ny ratsy fanahy, fa loza loatra izy, ary misandrahaka tahaka ny hazo maitso.
36. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
36. "Il a passé, et voici, il n`est plus; Je le cherche, et il ne se trouve plus."
36. "Kanjo nandalo izy, ka indro, tsy teo intsony; eny, nitady azy aho, fa tsy hita izy."
37. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
37. "Observe celui qui est intègre, et regarde celui qui est droit; Car il y a une postérité pour l`homme de paix."

38. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
38. Mais les rebelles sont tous anéantis, La postérité des méchants est retranchée.
38. "Fa ny mpanota haringana avokoa; ny hiafaran' ny ratsy fanahy hofongorana."
39. But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
39. "Le salut des justes vient de l`Éternel; Il est leur protecteur au temps de la détresse."
39. "Fa ny famonjena ny marina dia avy amin' i Jehovah; hery ho azy amin' ny andro fahoriana Izy."
40. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
40. "L`Éternel les secourt et les délivre; Il les délivre des méchants et les sauve, Parce qu`ils cherchent en lui leur refuge."
