1. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

1. [Ho an' ny mpiventy hira. Salamo nataon' i Davida, mpanompon' i Jehovah.] Ny fandikan-dalànan' ny ratsy fanahy dia milaza ato am-poko fa tsy misy fahatahorana an' Andriamanitra eo imasony.
2. For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
2. (36:3) Car il se flatte à ses propres yeux, Pour consommer son iniquité, pour assouvir sa haine.
2. Fa miarahaba tena eo imasony izy, mandra-pahita ny helony ka hankahalana azy.
3. The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
3. "(36:4) Les paroles de sa bouche sont fausses et trompeuses; Il renonce à agir avec sagesse, à faire le bien."
3. "Ny tenin' ny vavany dia heloka sy fitaka; nitsahatra tsy ho hendry sy tsy hanao soa izy."
4. He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
4. (36:5) Il médite l`injustice sur sa couche, Il se tient sur une voie qui n`est pas bonne, Il ne repousse pas le mal.
4. "Faharatsiana no saintsaininy eo am-pandriany; mitsangana eo amin' ny lalana tsy tsara izy; tsy mba mankahala ny ratsy izy."
5. Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
5. (36:6) Éternel! ta bonté atteint jusqu`aux cieux, Ta fidélité jusqu`aux nues.
5. "Jehovah ô, mipaka amin' ny lanitra ny famindramponao; mihatra amin' ny rahona ny fahamarinanao."
6. Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
6. (36:7) Ta justice est comme les montagnes de Dieu, Tes jugements sont comme le grand abîme. Éternel! tu soutiens les hommes et les bêtes.
6. "Ny fahamarinanao dia tahaka ny tendrombohitra lehibe; ny fitsaranao dia toy ny lalina indrindra; ny olona sy ny biby dia tahirizinao, Jehovah ô!"
7. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
7. (36:8) Combien est précieuse ta bonté, ô Dieu! A l`ombre de tes ailes les fils de l`homme cherchent un refuge.
7. Endrey ny hatsaran' ny indrafonao, Andriamanitra ô! Koa mametraka ny fitokisany eo ambany aloky ny elatrao ny zanak' olombelona.
8. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
8. (36:9) Ils se rassasient de l`abondance de ta maison, Et tu les abreuves au torrent de tes délices.
8. "Ho voky ny matavy ao an-tranonao izy; ary ny ony fampifalianao no hampisotroanao azy."
9. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
9. "(36:10) Car auprès de toi est la source de la vie; Par ta lumière nous voyons la lumière."
9. "Fa ao aminao no misy loharanon' aina; ny fahazavanao no hahitanay fahazavana."
10. O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
10. (36:11) Étends ta bonté sur ceux qui te connaissent, Et ta justice sur ceux dont le coeur est droit!
10. Ampahareto amin' izay mahalala anao ny indrafonao, ary ny fahamarinanao amin' ny mahitsy fo.
11. Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
11. (36:12) Que le pied de l`orgueil ne m`atteigne pas, Et que la main des méchants ne me fasse pas fuir!
11. Aoka tsy hanitsaka ahy ny tongotry ny mpiavonavona, na hampandositra ahy ny tanan' ny ratsy fanahy.
12. There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
12. "(36:13) Déjà tombent ceux qui commettent l`iniquité; Ils sont renversés, et ils ne peuvent se relever."
12. "Indreo fa efa lavo ny mpanao ratsy; naripaka izy ireo ka tsy ho afa-miarina."
