The Passover
1. And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

1. Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Mosesy tany an' efitr' i Sinay tamin' ny volana voalohany tamin' ny taona faharoa taorian' ny nivoahany avy tany amin' ny tany Egypta ka nanao hoe:
2. Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.
2. Il dit: Que les enfants d`Israël célèbrent la Pâque au temps fixé.
2. Aoka hotandreman' ny Zanak' Isiraely koa ny Paska amin' ny fotoany.
3. In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.
3. "Vous la célébrerez au temps fixé, le quatorzième jour de ce mois, entre les deux soirs; vous la célébrerez selon toutes les lois et toutes les ordonnances qui s`y rapportent."
3. "Amin' ny harivan' ny andro fahefatra ambin' ny folo amin' ity volana ity no hitandremanareo azy amin' ny fotoany; araka ny didy sy ny fanao rehetra aminy no hitandremanareo azy."
4. And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.
4. Moïse parla aux enfants d`Israël, afin qu`ils célébrassent la Pâque.
4. Ary Mosesy niteny tamin' ny Zanak' Isiraely mba hitandrina ny Paska.
5. And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
5. "Et ils célébrèrent la Pâque le quatorzième jour du premier mois, entre les deux soirs, dans le désert de Sinaï; les enfants d`Israël se conformèrent à tous les ordres que l`Éternel avait donnés à Moïse."
5. "Dia nitandrina ny Paska tany an' efitr' i Sinay izy tamin' ny harivan' ny andro fahefatra ambin' ny folo tamin' ny volana voalohany; araka izay rehetra efa nandidian' i Jehovah an' i Mosesy no nataon' ny Zanak' Isiraely."
6. And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:
6. "Il y eut des hommes qui, se trouvant impurs à cause d`un mort, ne pouvaient pas célébrer la Pâque ce jour-là. Ils se présentèrent le même jour devant Moïse et Aaron;"
6. "Ary nisy lehilahy sasany izay naloto tamim-paty ka tsy nahazo nitandrina ny Paska tamin' izany andro izany; dia nankeo anatrehan' i Mosesy sy Arona izy tamin' izany andro izany;"
7. And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?
7. "et ces hommes dirent à Moïse: Nous sommes impurs à cause d`un mort; pourquoi serions-nous privés de présenter au temps fixé l`offrande de l`Éternel au milieu des enfants d`Israël?"
7. Ary hoy ireo lehilahy ireo taminy: Maloto tamin' ny fatin' olona izahay, ka nahoana no sakanana tsy hiaraka amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely hanolotra ny fanatitra ho an' i Jehovah amin' ny fotoany?
8. And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.
8. Moïse leur dit: Attendez que je sache ce que l`Éternel vous ordonne.
8. Ary hoy Mosesy taminy: Mijanona aloha, fa ho reko izay handidian' i Jehovah ny aminareo.
9. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
9. Et l`Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
9. Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:
10. Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD.
10. Parle aux enfants d`Israël, et dis-leur: Si quelqu`un d`entre vous ou de vos descendants est impur à cause d`un mort, ou est en voyage dans le lointain, il célébrera la Pâque en l`honneur de l`Éternel.
10. Mitenena amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely hoe: Raha misy olona eo aminareo, na amin' ny taranakareo mifandimby maloto amin' ny fatin' olona, na lasan-davitra, dia mbola hitandrina ny Paska ho an' i Jehovah ihany izy.
11. The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
11. "C`est au second mois qu`ils la célébreront, le quatorzième jour, entre les deux soirs; ils la mangeront avec des pains sans levain et des herbes amères."
11. Amin' ny harivan' ny andro fahefatra ambin' ny folo amin' ny volana faharoa no hitandremany izany, ary hampiarahina amin' ny mofo tsy misy lalivay sy ny anana mangidy no hihinanany azy.
12. They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.
12. Ils n`en laisseront rien jusqu`au matin, et ils n`en briseront aucun os. Ils la célébreront selon toutes les ordonnances de la Pâque.
12. "Aza avela hasiany sisa ho tra-maraina, ary aza avela hisy hotapahiny ny taolany; araka ny lalàna rehetra ny amin' ny Paska no hitandremany azy."
13. But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.
13. "Si celui qui est pur et qui n`est pas en voyage s`abstient de célébrer la Pâque, celui-là sera retranché de son peuple; parce qu`il n`a pas présenté l`offrande de l`Éternel au temps fixé, cet homme-là portera la peine de son péché."
13. "Fa ny olona izay madio sady tsy nandeha lavitra, nefa mijanona tsy mitandrina ny Paska, dia hofongorana tsy ho amin' ny fireneny, satria tsy nitondra ny fanatitra ho an' i Jehovah tamin' ny fotoany; hitondra ny otany izany olona izany."
14. And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
14. Si un étranger en séjour chez vous célèbre la Pâque de l`Éternel, il se conformera aux lois et aux ordonnances de la Pâque. Il y aura une même loi parmi vous, pour l`étranger comme pour l`indigène.
14. "Ary raha misy vahiny hivahiny eo aminareo ka mba te-hitandrina ny Paska ho an' i Jehovah, dia araka ny didy sy fanao amin' ny Paska no hanaovany azy; lalàna iray ihany no ho amin' ny vahiny sy ho amin' ny tompon-tany."
The Cloud Above the Tabernacle
15. And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
15. "Le jour où le tabernacle fut dressé, la nuée couvrit le tabernacle, la tente d`assignation; et, depuis le soir jusqu`au matin, elle eut sur le tabernacle l`apparence d`un feu."
15. "Ary tamin' ny andro izay nananganana ny tabernakely, ny rahona dia nanarona ny tabernakely, dia ny tranolain' ny Vavolombelona; ary nony hariva dia niseho teo ambonin' ny tabernakely tahaka ny afo izy mandra-pahamarain' ny andro."
16. So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
16. Il en fut continuellement ainsi: la nuée couvrait le tabernacle, et elle avait de nuit l`apparence d`un feu.
16. "Dia toy izany mandrakariva izy; ny rahona nanarona azy tamin' ny andro, ary niseho tahaka ny afo izy nony alina."
17. And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
17. "Quand la nuée s`élevait de dessus la tente, les enfants d`Israël partaient; et les enfants d`Israël campaient dans le lieu où s`arrêtait la nuée."
17. Ary rehefa niakatra niala tamin' ny tabernakely ny rahona, dia niainga ny Zanak' Isiraely, ary teo amin' izay nijanonan' ny rahona no nanorenany ny lainy.
18. At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.
18. "Les enfants d`Israël partaient sur l`ordre de l`Éternel, et ils campaient sur l`ordre de l`Éternel; ils campaient aussi longtemps que la nuée restait sur le tabernacle."
18. "Araka ny didin' i Jehovah no niaingan' ny Zanak' Isiraely, ary araka ny didin' i Jehovah no nitobiany; raha mbola nitoetra teo ambonin' ny tabernakely ny rahona dia nijanona tao amin' ny lainy ireo."
19. And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.
19. Quand la nuée restait longtemps sur le tabernacle, les enfants d`Israël obéissaient au commandement de l`Éternel, et ne partaient point.
19. Ary raha nijanona ela teo ambonin' ny tabernakely andro maro ny rahona, dia nitandrina izay nasain' i Jehovah notandremana ny Zanak' Isiraely, ka tsy niainga.
20. And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
20. Quand la nuée restait peu de jours sur le tabernacle, ils campaient sur l`ordre de l`Éternel, et ils partaient sur l`ordre de l`Éternel.
20. Ary izao no zava-nisy: rehefa teo ambonin' ny tabernakely andro vitsivitsy ny rahona, dia araka ny didin' i Jehovah no nijanonany tao amin' ny lainy, ary araka ny didin' i Jehovah ny niaingany.
21. And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
21. Si la nuée s`arrêtait du soir au matin, et s`élevait le matin, ils partaient. Si la nuée s`élevait après un jour et une nuit, ils partaient.
21. Ary izao no zava-nisy: rehefa nitoetra hatramin' ny hariva ka hatramin' ny maraina ny rahona, ary raha niakatra izany ny maraina, dia niainga izy, ary na andro na alina no niakaran' ny rahona, dia niainga izy.
22. Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
22. "Si la nuée s`arrêtait sur le tabernacle deux jours, ou un mois, ou une année, les enfants d`Israël restaient campés, et ne partaient point; et quand elle s`élevait, ils partaient."
22. Ary na roa andro, na iray volana, na herintaona no naharetan' ny rahona teo ambonin' ny tabernakely, ka nijanonany teo, dia nitoetra tao amin' ny lainy ihany ny Zanak' Isiraely ka tsy niainga,fa rehefa niakatra ny rahona, dia niainga izy.
23. At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
23. "Ils campaient sur l`ordre de l`Éternel, et ils partaient sur l`ordre de l`Éternel; ils obéissaient au commandement de l`Éternel, sur l`ordre de l`Éternel par Moïse."
23. Araka ny didin' i Jehovah no nijanonany tao amin' ny lainy, ary araka ny didin' i Jehovah no niaingany. Nitandrina izay nasain' i Jehovah notandremana izy, araka ny didin' i Jehovah izay nampitondrainy an' i Mosesy.
