The Purity of the Camp
1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2. Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
2. Ordonne aux enfants d`Israël de renvoyer du camp tout lépreux, et quiconque a une gonorrhée ou est souillé par un mort.
2. "Mandidia ny Zanak' Isiraely hamoaka ny boka rehetra sy ny marary mitsika rehetra ary ny maloto amim-paty rehetra hiala amin' ny toby ;"
3. Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
3. Hommes ou femmes, vous les renverrez, vous les renverrez hors du camp, afin qu`ils ne souillent pas le camp au milieu duquel j`ai ma demeure.
3. Na lehilahy na vehivavy dia samy havoakanareo any ivelan' ny toby, mba tsy handoto ny tobiny izay itoerako eo afovoany.
4. And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
4. "Les enfants d`Israël firent ainsi, et ils les renvoyèrent hors du camp; comme l`Éternel l`avait ordonné à Moïse, ainsi firent les enfants d`Israël."
4. "Dia nanao izany ny Zanak' Isiraely ka namoaka ireny ho any ivelan' ny toby; araka izay nolazain' i Jehovah tamin' i Mosesy no nataon' ny Zanak' Isiraely."
Restitution for Wrongs
5. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
5. L`Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
5. Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:
6. Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person be guilty;
6. Parle aux enfants d`Israël: Lorsqu`un homme ou une femme péchera contre son prochain en commettant une infidélité à l`égard de l`Éternel, et qu`il se rendra ainsi coupable,
6. "Mitenena amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely hoe: Raha misy lehilahy na vehivavy manao izay mety ho fahotan' ny olona, ka manao izay mahadiso amin' i Jehovah, dia meloka izany olona izany;"
7. Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
7. "il confessera son péché, et il restituera dans son entier l`objet mal acquis, en y ajoutant un cinquième; il le remettra à celui envers qui il s`est rendu coupable."
7. Dia tsy maintsy hiaiky ny fahotany izay nataony izy ary hanonitra ny amin' ny fahadisoany ka hanampy azy ny ampahadiminy ary homeny ilay nanaovany fahadisoana.
8. But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the LORD, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
8. S`il n`y a personne qui ait droit à la restitution de l`objet mal acquis, cet objet revient à l`Éternel, au sacrificateur, outre le bélier expiatoire avec lequel on fera l`expiation pour le coupable.
8. Fa raha tàhiny tsy manana havana akaiky hanaterany ny fanonerana ny amin' ny fahadisoany ilay olona, ny zavatra nateriny ho fanonerana dia ho an' i Jehovah, ka ho an' ny mpisorona, ho fanampin' ny ondrilahy fanavotana izay hanaovany fanavotana ho azy.
9. And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.
9. Toute offrande de choses consacrées par les enfants d`Israël appartiendra au sacrificateur à qui elles seront présentées.
9. Ary ny fanatitra rehetra amin' ny zava-masina an' ny Zanak' Isiraely izay ateriny ho an' ny mpisorona, dia ho azy izany.
10. And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.
10. Les choses qu`on aura consacrées lui appartiendront, ce qu`on lui aura remis lui appartiendra.
10. "Ary ho azy ny zava-masina izay aterin' ny olona rehetra; na inona na inona omen' ny olona ho an' ny mpisorona, dia ho azy izany."
The Test for an Unfaithful Wife
11. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
11. L`Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
11. Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:
12. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,
12. "Parle aux enfants d`Israël, et tu leur diras: Si une femme se détourne de son mari, et lui devient infidèle;"
12. Mitenena amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely, ka lazao aminy hoe: Na iza na iza vadin' olona ka manao izay mahadiso amin' ny lahy,
13. And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;
13. "si un autre a commerce avec elle, et que la chose soit cachée aux yeux de son mari; si elle s`est souillée en secret, sans qu`il y ait de témoin contre elle, et sans qu`elle ait été prise sur le fait; -"
13. "Fa nisy lehilahy nandry taminy, nefa tsy hitan' ny mason-dralehilahy vadiny fa miafina, ary voaloto ravehivavy, nefa tsy misy vavolombelona hiampanga azy, ary tsy azo olan-tanana izy;"
14. And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:
14. "et si le mari est saisi d`un esprit de jalousie et a des soupçons sur sa femme, qui s`est souillée, ou bien s`il est saisi d`un esprit de jalousie et a des soupçons sur sa femme, qui ne s`est point souillée; -"
14. "Fa tonga ao aminy ny fanahin' ny fahasarotam-piaro, ka saro-piaro ny amin' ny vadiny izy, fa voaloto ravehivavy; na raha tonga ao aminy ny fanahin' ny fahasarotam-piaro, ka saro-piaro ny amin' ny vadiny izy, nefa tsy voaloto ravehivavy;"
15. Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
15. "cet homme amènera sa femme au sacrificateur, et apportera en offrande pour elle un dixième d`épha de farine d`orge; il n`y répandra point d`huile, et n`y mettra point d`encens, car c`est une offrande de jalousie, une offrande de souvenir, qui rappelle une iniquité."
15. "Dia hoentin' ny lahy ho eo amin' ny mpisorona ny vadiny, ary hitondra ny fanatiny noho ny vavy izy, dia kobam-bary hordea ampahafolon' ny efaha; tsy hanidinany diloilo izany sady tsy hasiany ditin-kazo mani-pofona, satria fanatitra noho ny fahasarotam-piaro izany, dia fanati-pahatsiarovana, hampahatsiaro heloka."
16. And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:
16. Le sacrificateur la fera approcher, et la fera tenir debout devant l`Éternel.
16. "Ary hampanakaiky azy ny mpisorona ka hampitoetra azy eo anatrehan' i Jehovah;"
17. And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:
17. "Le sacrificateur prendra de l`eau sainte dans un vase de terre; il prendra de la poussière sur le sol du tabernacle, et la mettra dans l`eau."
17. "Dia haka rano masina amin' ny lovia tany ny mpisorona; ary ny vovoka eo amin' ny tany izay itoeran' ny tabernakely dia hangalan' ny mpisorona ka hataony amin' ny rano;"
18. And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:
18. "Le sacrificateur fera tenir la femme debout devant l`Éternel; il découvrira la tête de la femme, et lui posera sur les mains l`offrande de souvenir, l`offrande de jalousie; le sacrificateur aura dans sa main les eaux amères qui apportent la malédiction."
18. "Ary ravehivavy dia hampitoerin' ny mpisorona eo anatrehan' i Jehovah, ka tsy hosaronana ny lohan-dravehivavy, ary ataony eo an-tanany ny fanati-pahatsiarovany, dia ny fanatitra noho ny fahasarotam-piaro; ary ho eo an-tanan' ny mpisorona ny rano mangidy izay mitondra ozona;"
19. And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:
19. Le sacrificateur fera jurer la femme, et lui dira: Si aucun homme n`a couché avec toi, et si, étant sous la puissance de ton mari, tu ne t`en es point détournée pour te souiller, ces eaux amères qui apportent la malédiction ne te seront point funestes.
19. "Dia hampianiana an-dravehivavy ny mpisorona, ka hanao aminy hoe: Raha tsy nisy lehilahy nandry taminao, ka tsy nivily niala tamin' ny vadinao ho amin' ny fahalotoana ianao, dia ho afaka amin' ity rano mangidy mitondra ozona ity;"
20. But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:
20. Mais si, étant sous la puissance de ton mari, tu t`en es détournée et que tu te sois souillée, et si un autre homme que ton mari a couché avec toi, -
20. "Fa raha nivily niala tamin' ny vadinao ho amin' ny hafa kosa ianao ka voaloto, fa nisy lehilahy nandry taminao, afa-tsy ny vadinao;"
21. Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;
21. et le sacrificateur fera jurer la femme avec un serment d`imprécation, et lui dira: -Que l`Éternel te livre à la malédiction et à l`exécration au milieu de ton peuple, en faisant dessécher ta cuisse et enfler ton ventre,
21. "Dia hampianiana an-dravehivavy ny mpisorona mba hiozona ka hanao aminy hoe: Jehovah anie hanao anao ho fiozonana sy ho fianianana eo amin' ny firenenao amin' ny fampahalòvan' i Jehovah ny fenao sy fampivontosany ny kibonao;"
22. And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
22. et que ces eaux qui apportent la malédiction entrent dans tes entrailles pour te faire enfler le ventre et dessécher la cuisse! Et la femme dira: Amen! Amen!
22. Ary ity rano mitondra ozona ity dia hiditra ao an-kibonao ka hampivonto ny kibonao sy hampahalò ny fenao. Ary ravehivavy hanao hoe: Amena, amena.
23. And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:
23. Le sacrificateur écrira ces imprécations dans un livre, puis les effacera avec les eaux amères.
23. Ary hosoratan' ny mpisorona amin' ny boky izany ozona izany, ka hosasany eo amin' ny rano mangidy izany.
24. And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.
24. Et il fera boire à la femme les eaux amères qui apportent la malédiction, et les eaux qui apportent la malédiction entreront en elle pour produire l`amertume.
24. "Dia hampisotro an-dravehivavy ny rano mangidy, izay mitondra ozona izy; ary ny rano izay mitondra ozona dia hiditra ao anatiny ho tonga mangidy."
25. Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:
25. "Le sacrificateur prendra des mains de la femme l`offrande de jalousie, il agitera l`offrande de côté et d`autre devant l`Éternel, et il l`offrira sur l`autel;"
25. "Dia halain' ny mpisorona eo an-tanan-dravehivavy ny fanatitra noho ny fahasarotam-piaro; ary hahevahevany eo anatrehan' i Jehovah ny fanatitra, ka ateriny eo amin' ny alitara izany."
26. And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.
26. le sacrificateur prendra une poignée de cette offrande comme souvenir, et il la brûlera sur l`autel. C`est après cela qu`il fera boire les eaux à la femme.
26. Dia haka eran' ny tanan' ila amin' ny fanati-pahatsiarovana ny mpisorona ka handoro izany eo ambony alitara, ary aorian' izay, dia hampisotroiny io rano io ravehivavy.
27. And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.
27. "Quand il aura fait boire les eaux, il arrivera, si elle s`est souillée et a été infidèle à son mari, que les eaux qui apportent la malédiction entreront en elle pour produire l`amertume; son ventre s`enflera, sa cuisse se desséchera, et cette femme sera en malédiction au milieu de son peuple."
27. Ary rehefa nampisotroiny ny rano izy, dia izao no hiseho, raha voaloto izy, ka nanao izay nahadiso azy tamin' ny vadiny, dia hiditra ao anatiny ho tonga mangidy ny rano mitondra ozona, ka hivonto ny kibony, sady ho lò ny feny, dia ho tonga fiozonana eo amin' ny fireneny ravehivavy.
28. And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.
28. Mais si la femme ne s`est point souillée et qu`elle soit pure, elle sera reconnue innocente et aura des enfants.
28. Nefa kosa, raha tsy voaloto ravehivavy, fa madio, dia ho afaka izy ka hanana anaka.
29. This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;
29. Telle est la loi sur la jalousie, pour le cas où une femme sous la puissance de son mari se détourne et se souille,
29. "Izany no lalànan' ny fahasarotam-piaro, raha misy vehivavy mivily miala amin' ny vadiny ho amin' ny hafa ka voaloto;"
30. Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.
30. et pour le cas où un mari saisi d`un esprit de jalousie a des soupçons sur sa femme: le sacrificateur la fera tenir debout devant l`Éternel, et lui appliquera cette loi dans son entier.
30. Na raha tonga amin' ny lehilahy ny fanahin' ny fahasarotam-piaro, ka saro-piaro amin' ny vadiny izy, dia hampitoetra ny vadiny eo anatrehan' i Jehovah izy, ary ny mpisorona hanefa izany lalàna izany aminy.
31. Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.
31. Le mari sera exempt de faute, mais la femme portera la peine de son iniquité.
31. Dia tsy hanan-tsiny ny amin' ny heloka ralehilahy, fa ravehivavy kosa hitondra ny helony.
