Boundaries of Canaan
1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2. Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)
2. Donne cet ordre aux enfants d`Israël, et dis-leur: Quand vous serez entrés dans le pays de Canaan, ce pays deviendra votre héritage, le pays de Canaan, dont voici les limites.
2. Mandidia ny Zanak' Isiraely ka lazao aminy hoe: Raha tonga any amin' ny tany Kanana ianareo, (dia izao no tany izay ho azonareo ho lova, dia ny tany Kanana araka izay faritaniny):
3. Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:
3. "Le côté du midi commencera au désert de Tsin près d`Édom. Ainsi, votre limite méridionale partira de l`extrémité de la mer Salée, vers l`orient;"
3. Ary ny lafiny atsimo amin' ny taninareo dia hatramin' ny efitra Zina, izay mifanolotra amin' ny faritanin' i Edoma. Ary ny fari-taninareo atsimo dia hatramin' ny faran' ny Ranomasin-tsira any atsinanana,
4. And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:
4. "elle tournera au sud de la montée d`Akrabbim, passera par Tsin, et s`étendra jusqu`au midi de Kadès Barnéa; elle continuera par Hatsar Addar, et passera vers Atsmon;"
4. Dia hiolaka eo atsimon' ny fiakarana Akrabima, dia handroso hatrany Zina, dia hahazo an' i Kadesi-barnea, dia hahazo an' i Hazar-adara ka handroso hatrany Azmona,
5. And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.
5. depuis Atsmon, elle tournera jusqu`au torrent d`Égypte, pour aboutir à la mer.
5. Ary hiolaka hatrany Azmona ka hatrany amin' ny reniranon' i Egypta, ka dia hihatra amin' ny ranomasina.
6. And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.
6. Votre limite occidentale sera la grande mer: ce sera votre limite à l`occident.
6. "Ary ny amin' ny fari-tany andrefana dia ny Ranomasina Lehibe no ho sisiny; izany no ho fari-taninareo andrefana."
7. And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:
7. "Voici quelle sera votre limite septentrionale: à partir de la grande mer, vous la tracerez jusqu`à la montagne de Hor;"
7. "Ary izao no ho fari-taninareo avaratra: hatramin' ny Ranomasina Lehibe dia aoka ny tendrombohitra Hora no hotandrifìnareo;"
8. From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:
8. "depuis la montagne de Hor, vous la ferez passer par Hamath, et arriver à Tsedad;"
8. Ary hatramin' ny tendrombohitra Hora dia aoka ny lalana mankany Hamata no hotandrifìnareo, ary aoka ny faritany hahazo an' i Zedada,
9. And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.
9. elle continuera par Ziphron, pour aboutir à Hatsar Énan: ce sera votre limite au septentrion.
9. "Dia hahazo an' i Zifrona ny faritany, ka dia hihatra an' i Hazrenana; izany no ho faritaninareo avaratra."
10. And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:
10. "Vous tracerez votre limite orientale de Hatsar Énan à Schepham;"
10. Ary ny ho fari-taninareo atsinanana dia hampifanitsio amin' i Hazarenana ka hatrany Sefana,
11. And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:
11. "elle descendra de Schepham vers Ribla, à l`orient d`Aïn; elle descendra, et s`étendra le long de la mer de Kinnéreth, à l`orient;"
11. Dia hidina hatrany Sefana ny fari-tany ka hatrany Ribla any atsinanan' i Aina, dia mbola hidina ihany koa ka hipaka amin' ny Ranomasin' i Kinereta atsinanana,
12. And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.
12. elle descendra encore vers le Jourdain, pour aboutir à la mer Salée. Tel sera votre pays avec ses limites tout autour.
12. Dia hidina ihany indray hatrany Jordana, ka dia hihatra amin' ny Ranomasin-tsira. Izany no ho taninareo miaraka amin' ny faritany manodidina.
13. And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
13. Moïse transmit cet ordre aux enfants d`Israël, et dit: C`est là le pays que vous partagerez par le sort, et que l`Éternel a résolu de donner aux neuf tribus et à la demi-tribu.
13. Ary Mosesy nandidy ny Zanak' Isiraely ka nanao hoe: Izany no tany izay ho lovanareo araka ny an-tsapaka, dia izay nandidian' i Jehovah homena ny foko sivy sy sasany,
14. For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:
14. "Car la tribu des fils de Ruben et la tribu des fils de Gad ont pris leur héritage, selon les maisons de leurs pères; la demi-tribu de Manassé a aussi pris son héritage."
14. Fa ny fokon' ny taranak' i Robena araka ny fianakaviany sy ny fokon' ny taranak' i Gada araka ny ankohonan' ny rainy dia efa nandray ny lovany ary ny antsasaky ny fokon' i Manase dia efa nandray ny lovany.
15. The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.
15. Ces deux tribus et la demi-tribu ont pris leur héritage en deçà du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho, du côté de l`orient.
15. Ny foko roa sy sasany efa nandray ny zara-taniny aty an-dafy atsinanan' i Jordana, hitsin' i Jeriko, tandrifin' ny fiposahan' ny masoandro.
16. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
16. L`Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
16. Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:
17. These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
17. Voici les noms des hommes qui partageront entre vous le pays: le sacrificateur Éléazar, et Josué, fils de Nun.
17. Izao no anaran' ny lehilahy izay hizara ny tany ho anareo: Eleazara mpisorona sy Josoa, zanakalahin' i Nona.
18. And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.
18. Vous prendrez encore un prince de chaque tribu, pour faire le partage du pays.
18. Ary Loholona iray avy amin' ny isam-poko no halainareo hizara ny tany ho lova.
19. And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
19. "Voici les noms de ces hommes. Pour la tribu de Juda: Caleb, fils de Jephunné;"
19. Ary izao no anaran' ireo lehilahy ireo: ny avy amin' ny fokon' i Joda dia Kaleba, zanakalahin' i Jefone.
20. And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.
20. "pour la tribu des fils de Siméon: Samuel, fils d`Ammihud;"
20. "Ary avy amin' ny fokon' ny taranak' i Simeona, dia Semoela, zanakalahin' i Amihoda;"
21. Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
21. "pour la tribu de Benjamin: Élidad, fils de Kislon;"
21. "Avy amin' ny fokon' i Benjamina, dia Elidada, zanakalahin' i Kislona;"
22. And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.
22. "pour la tribu des fils de Dan: le prince Buki, fils de Jogli;"
22. "Ary ny mpanapaka ny fokon' ny taranak' i Dana, dia Boky, zanakalahin' i Jogly;"
23. The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.
23. "pour les fils de Joseph, -pour la tribu des fils de Manassé: le prince Hanniel, fils d`Éphod; -"
23. "Ny mpanapaka ny taranak' i Josefa, ho amin' ny fokon' ny taranak' i Manase, dia Hananiela, zanakalahin' i Efoda;"
24. And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.
24. "et pour la tribu des fils d`Éphraïm: le prince Kemuel, fils de Schiphtan;"
24. Ary ny mpanapaka ny fokon' ny taranak' i Efraima, dia Kemoela, zanakalahin' i Siftana.
25. And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.
25. "pour la tribu des fils de Zabulon: le prince Élitsaphan, fils de Parnac;"
25. "Ary ny mpanapaka ny fokon' ny taranak' i Zebolona, dia Elizafana, zanakalahin' i Parnaka;"
26. And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.
26. "pour la tribu des fils d`Issacar: le prince Paltiel, fils d`Azzan;"
26. Ary ny mpanapaka ny taranak' i Isakara, dia Paltiela, zanakalahin' i Azana.
27. And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.
27. "pour la tribu des fils d`Aser: le prince Ahihud, fils de Schelomi;"
27. Ary ny mpanapaka ny fokon' ny taranak' i Asera, dia Ahihoda, zanakalahin' i Selomy.
28. And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.
28. pour la tribu des fils de Nephthali: le prince Pedahel, fils d`Ammihud.
28. Ary ny mpanapaka ny fokon' ny taranak' i Naftaly, dia Pedahela, zanakalahin' i Amihoda.
29. These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
29. Tels sont ceux à qui l`Éternel ordonna de partager le pays de Canaan entre les enfants d`Israël.
