Zelophehad's Daughters
1. Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
1. Les filles de Tselophchad, fils de Hépher, fils de Galaad, fils de Makir, fils de Manassé, des familles de Manassé, fils de Joseph, et dont les noms étaient Machla, Noa, Hogla, Milca et Thirsta,
1. "Ary avy ny zanakavavin' i Zelofada, zanakalahin' i Hefera, zanakalahin' i Gileada, zanakalahin' i Makira, zanakalahin' i Manase, avy tamin' ny ankohonan' i Manase, zanakalahin' i Josefa; ary izao no anaran' ny zanany vavy: Mahala, Noa sy Hogla sy Milka ary Tirza."
2. And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

3. Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.
3. "Notre père est mort dans le désert; il n`était pas au milieu de l`assemblée de ceux qui se révoltèrent contre l`Éternel, de l`assemblée de Koré, mais il est mort pour son péché, et il n`avait point de fils."
3. "Ny rainay dia maty tany an' efitra, kanefa tsy mba isan' ny antokon' i Kora izay niara-niangona hiodina tamin' i Jehovah tsy akory; fa matin' ny fahotany ihany izy, nefa tsy nanan-janakalahy."
4. Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
4. Pourquoi le nom de notre père serait-il retranché du milieu de sa famille, parce qu`il n`avait point eu de fils? Donne-nous une possession parmi les frères de notre père.
4. Nahoana ny rainay no ho fati-maso eo amin' ny ankohonany, satria tsy manan-janakalahy izy? Koa omeo zara-tany eo amin' ny rahalahin' ny rainay izahay.
5. And Moses brought their cause before the LORD.
5. Moïse porta la cause devant l`Éternel.
5. Ary nalahatr' i Mosesy teo anatrehan' i Jehovah ny tenin' ireo.
6. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
6. Et l`Éternel dit à Moïse:
6. Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:
7. The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
7. Les filles de Tselophchad ont raison. Tu leur donneras en héritage une possession parmi les frères de leur père, et c`est à elles que tu feras passer l`héritage de leur père.
7. "Marina ny tenin' ny zanakavavin' i Zelofada; omeo zara-tany ho lova eo amin' ny rahalahin-drainy tokoa izy; dia hampandovay ny lovan' ny rainy izy."
8. And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
8. Tu parleras aux enfants d`Israël, et tu diras: Lorsqu`un homme mourra sans laisser de fils, vous ferez passer son héritage à sa fille.
8. Ary lazao amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely hoe: Raha misy lehilahy maty ka tsy manan-janakalahy, dia hampandovay azy ny zanany vavy.
9. And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
9. S`il n`a point de fille, vous donnerez son héritage à ses frères.
9. Ary raha tsy manan-janakavavy izy, dia ny rahalahiny no homenareo ny lovany.
10. And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father's brethren.
10. S`il n`a point de frères, vous donnerez son héritage aux frères de son père.
10. Ary raha tsy manan-drahalahy izy, dia ny rahalahin-drainy no homenareo ny lovany.
11. And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.
11. S`il n`y a point de frères de son père, vous donnerez son héritage au plus proche parent dans sa famille, et c`est lui qui le possédera. Ce sera pour les enfants d`Israël une loi et un droit, comme l`Éternel l`a ordonné à Moïse.
11. "Ary raha tsy manan-drahalahy ny rainy, dia ny havany akaiky azy eo amin' ny ankohonany no homenareo ny lovany, ka izy no hanana izany; ho lalàna hitsarana ny Zanak' Isiraely izany araka izay nandidian' i Jehovah an' i Mosesy."
Joshua to Succeed Moses
12. And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
12. L`Éternel dit à Moïse: Monte sur cette montagne d`Abarim, et regarde le pays que je donne aux enfants d`Israël.
12. Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Mosesy: Miakara amin' ity tendrombohitra Abarima ity, ka tazano ny tany izay nomeko ny Zanak' Isiraely.
13. And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.
13. "Tu le regarderas; mais toi aussi, tu sera recueilli auprès de ton peuple, comme Aaron, ton frère, a été recueilli;"
13. "Ary rehefa hitanao izany dia hangonina any amin' ny razanao ianao, tahaka izay nanangonana an' i Arona rahalahinao;"
14. For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
14. parce que vous avez été rebelles à mon ordre, dans le désert de Tsin, lors de la contestation de l`assemblée, et que vous ne m`avez point sanctifié à leurs yeux à l`occasion des eaux. Ce sont les eaux de contestation, à Kadès, dans le désert de Tsin.

15. And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying,
15. Moïse parla à l`Éternel, et dit:
15. Ary Mosesy niteny tamin' i Jehovah hoe:
16. Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
16. Que l`Éternel, le Dieu des esprits de toute chair, établisse sur l`assemblée un homme
16. Aoka Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny fanahin' ny nofo rehetra, hanendry lehilahy iray hitandrina ny fiangonana,
17. Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
17. qui sorte devant eux et qui entre devant eux, qui les fasse sortir et qui les fasse entrer, afin que l`assemblée de l`Éternel ne soit pas comme des brebis qui n`ont point de berger.
17. Izay hivoaka sy hiditra eo alohany ary hitarika azy hivoaka sy hiditra, mba tsy ho tahaka ny ondry tsy misy mpiandry ny fiangonan' i Jehovah.
18. And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
18. "L`Éternel dit à Moïse: Prends Josué, fils de Nun, homme en qui réside l`esprit; et tu poseras ta main sur lui."
18. "Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Mosesy: Alaonao Josoa, zanakalahin' i Nona, lehilahy izay manam-panahy, ka ametraho ny tananao izy;"
19. And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
19. Tu le placeras devant le sacrificateur Éléazar et devant toute l`assemblée, et tu lui donneras des ordres sous leurs yeux.
19. Ary asaovy mijoro eo anatrehan' i Eleazara mpisorona sy ny fiangonana rehetra izy, ka mandidia azy eo imasony ianao.
20. And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
20. Tu le rendras participant de ta dignité, afin que toute l`assemblée des enfants d`Israël l`écoute.
20. Dia anomezo azy ny voninahitrao, mba hankatoavan' ny fiangonan' ny Zanak' Isiraely rehetra azy.
21. And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
21. "Il se présentera devant le sacrificateur Éléazar, qui consultera pour lui le jugement de l`urim devant l`Éternel; et Josué, tous les enfants d`Israël avec lui, et toute l`assemblée, sortiront sur l`ordre d`Éléazar et entreront sur son ordre."
21. "Ary Josoa hijanona eo anatrehan' i Eleazara mpisorona, izay hanadina amin' ny fitsaran' i Orima eo anatrehan' i Jehovah ho azy; araka ny teniny no hivoahany, ary araka ny teniny no hidirany, dia izy sy ny Zanak' Isiraely rehetra miaraka aminy, dia ny fiangonana rehetra."
22. And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
22. Moïse fit ce que l`Éternel lui avait ordonné. Il prit Josué, et il le plaça devant le sacrificateur Éléazar et devant toute l`assemblée.
22. "Ary nataon' i Mosesy araka izay efa nandidian' i Jehovah azy; dia naka an' i Josoa izy ka nampijoro azy teo anatrehan' i Eleazara mpisorona sy ny fiangonana rehetra,"
23. And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
23. Il posa ses mains sur lui, et lui donna des ordres, comme l`Éternel l`avait dit par Moïse.
23. Ka nametraka ny tanany taminy izy, ary nandidy azy, araka ny tenin' i Jehovah izay nampitondrainy an' i Mosesy.
