Duties of Priests and Levites
1. And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father's house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
1. "L`Éternel dit à Aaron: Toi et tes fils, et la maison de ton père avec toi, vous porterez la peine des iniquités commises dans le sanctuaire; toi et tes fils avec toi, vous porterez la peine des iniquités commises dans l`exercice de votre sacerdoce."
1. "Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Arona: Ianao sy ny zanakalahinao ary ny tarana-drainao miaraka aminao no hitondra ny heloky ny fitoerana masina; ary ianao sy ny zanakalahinao no hitondra ny heloky ny fisoronanareo."
2. And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of witness.
2. Fais aussi approcher de toi tes frères, la tribu de Lévi, la tribu de ton père, afin qu`ils te soient attachés et qu`ils te servent, lorsque toi, et tes fils avec toi, vous serez devant la tente du témoignage.

3. And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor ye also, die.

4. And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you.
4. Ils te seront attachés, et ils observeront ce qui concerne la tente d`assignation pour tout le service de la tente. Aucun étranger n`approchera de vous.

5. And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel.

6. And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the LORD, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
6. Voici, j`ai pris vos frères les Lévites du milieu des enfants d`Israël: donnés à l`Éternel, ils vous sont remis en don pour faire le service de la tente d`assignation.

7. Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest's office for everything of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
7. Toi, et tes fils avec toi, vous observerez les fonctions de votre sacerdoce pour tout ce qui concerne l`autel et pour ce qui est en dedans du voile: c`est le service que vous ferez. Je vous accorde en pur don l`exercice du sacerdoce. L`étranger qui approchera sera mis à mort.

Offerings for Priests and Levites
8. And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.
8. "L`Éternel dit à Aaron: Voici, de toutes les choses que consacrent les enfants d`Israël, je te donne celles qui me sont offertes par élévation; je te les donne, à toi et à tes fils, comme droit d`onction, par une loi perpétuelle."
8. "Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Arona hoe: Indro, Izaho koa efa nampitandrina anao ny fanatitra asandratra ho Ahy, avy amin' ny zava-masina rehetra an' ny Zanak' Isiraely; efa nomeko anao sy ny zanakalahinao izany noho ny fanosorana ho lalàna mandrakizay."
9. This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every oblation of theirs, every meat offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons.
9. "Voici ce qui t`appartiendra parmi les choses très saintes qui ne sont pas consumées par le feu: toutes leurs offrandes, tous leurs dons, tous leurs sacrifices d`expiation, et tous les sacrifices de culpabilité qu`ils m`offriront; ces choses très saintes seront pour toi et pour tes fils."
9. Izao no ho anao amin' ny zavatra masina indrindra, voatokana avy tamin' ny afo: ny fanatiny rehetra, dia ny fanatitra hohanina rehetra sy ny fanatitra noho ny otany rehetra sy ny fanatitra noho ny fahadisoany rehetra izay hanonerany ho Ahy dia ho masina indrindra ho anao sy ny zanakao lahy.
10. In the most holy place shalt thou eat it; every male shall eat it: it shall be holy unto thee.
10. "Vous les mangerez dans un lieu très saint; tout mâle en mangera; vous les regarderez comme saintes."
10. "Ao amin' ny fitoerana masina indrindra no hihinananao izany; ny lehilahy rehetra no hihinana izany; masina ho anao izany."
11. And this is thine; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it.
11. Voici encore ce qui t`appartiendra: tous les dons que les enfants d`Israël présenteront par élévation et en les agitant de côté et d`autre, je te les donne à toi, à tes fils et à tes filles avec toi, par une loi perpétuelle. Quiconque sera pur dans ta maison en mangera.
11. Ary izao no ho anao: ny fanatitra asandratra avy amin' ny fanomezany miaraka amin' ny fanatitra ahevaheva rehetra avy amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely, dia efa nomeko anao sy ny zanakao lahy sy ny zanakao vavy miaraka aminao izany, ho lalàna mandrakizay: izay rehetra madio ao amin' ny ankohonanao no hihinana izany.
12. All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given thee.
12. Je te donne les prémices qu`ils offriront à l`Éternel: tout ce qu`il y aura de meilleur en huile, tout ce qu`il y aura de meilleur en moût et en blé.
12. Izay rehetra tsara indrindra amin' ny diloilo, ary izay rehetra tsara indrindra amin' ny divay sy ny varimbazaha, ny voaloham-bokatra aminy izay hatolony ho an' i Jehovah dia efa nomeko anao.
13. And whatsoever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring unto the LORD, shall be thine; every one that is clean in thine house shall eat of it.
13. Les premiers produits de leur terre, qu`ils apporteront à l`Éternel, seront pour toi. Quiconque sera pur dans ta maison en mangera.
13. "Ary izay voaloham-bokatra eo amin' ny tany ka haterina ho an' i Jehovah dia ho anao; izay rehetra madio amin' ny ankohonanao no hihinana izany."
14. Every thing devoted in Israel shall be thine.
14. Tout ce qui sera dévoué par interdit en Israël sera pour toi.
14. Ny zavatra rehetra voatokana amin' ny Isiraely dia ho anao.
15. Every thing that openeth the matrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine: nevertheless the firstborn of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem.
15. Tout premier-né de toute chair, qu`ils offriront à l`Éternel, tant des hommes que des animaux, sera pour toi. Seulement, tu feras racheter le premier-né de l`homme, et tu feras racheter le premier-né d`un animal impur.
15. "Ny voalohan-teraka rehetra, izay ateriny ho an' i Jehovah, na olona, na biby, dia ho anao avokoa; kanefa tsy maintsy havotanao ny voalohan-teraky ny olona, ary ny voalohan-teraky ny biby maloto dia havotanao koa."
16. And those that are to be redeemed from a month old shalt thou redeem, according to thine estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.
16. Tu les feras racheter dès l`âge d`un mois, d`après ton estimation, au prix de cinq sicles d`argent, selon le sicle du sanctuaire, qui est de vingt guéras.

17. But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
17. Mais tu ne feras point racheter le premier-né du boeuf, ni le premier-né de la brebis, ni le premier-né de la chèvre: ce sont des choses saintes. Tu répandras leur sang sur l`autel, et tu brûleras leur graisse: ce sera un sacrifice consumé par le feu, d`une agréable odeur à l`Éternel.
17. "Fa ny voalohan-teraky ny omby, na ny voalohan-teraky ny ondry, na ny voalohan-teraky ny osy kosa tsy mba havotanao, fa masina ireny; ny rany dia hatopinao amin' ny alitara, ary ny saborany dia hodoranao ho fofona, ho fanatitra atao amin' ny afo, ho hanitra ankasitrahana ho an' i Jehovah."
18. And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are thine.
18. Leur chair sera pour toi, comme la poitrine qu`on agite de côté et d`autre et comme l`épaule droite.
18. Dia ho anao ny henany, ho anao tahaka ny tratra ahevaheva, sy tahaka soroka ankavanana.
19. All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
19. Je te donne, à toi, à tes fils et à tes filles avec toi, par une loi perpétuelle, toutes les offrandes saintes que les enfants d`Israël présenteront à l`Éternel par élévation. C`est une alliance inviolable et à perpétuité devant l`Éternel, pour toi et pour ta postérité avec toi.
19. "Ny fanatitra asandratra rehetra amin' ny zava-masina izay atolotry ny Zanak' Isiraely ho an' i Jehovah, dia nomeko anao sy ny zanakalahinao sy ny zanakavavinao, ho lalàna mandrakizay; fanekena mandrakizay asian-tsira eo anatrehan' i Jehovah izany ho aminao sy ny taranakao miaraka aminao."
20. And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
20. "L`Éternel dit à Aaron: Tu ne posséderas rien dans leur pays, et il n`y aura point de part pour toi au milieu d`eux; c`est moi qui suis ta part et ta possession, au milieu des enfants d`Israël."
20. "Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Arona: Tsy mba hanana lova eo amin' ny taniny ianao sady tsy mba hanana anjara eo aminy; Izaho no anjaranao sy lovanao eo amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely."
21. And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
21. Je donne comme possession aux fils de Lévi toute dîme en Israël, pour le service qu`ils font, le service de la tente d`assignation.
21. Ary, indro, ny taranak' i Levy efa nomeko ny ampahafolony rehetra amin' ny Isiraely ho lovany, noho ny fanompoana izay ataony, dia ny fanompoana ny amin' ny tranolay fihaonana.
22. Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.
22. Les enfants d`Israël n`approcheront plus de la tente d`assignation, de peur qu`ils ne se chargent d`un péché et qu`ils ne meurent.
22. Ary tsy mahazo manakaiky ny tranolay fihaonana intsony ny Zanak' Isiraely, fandrao mitondra ota izy, ka maty.
23. But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.
23. Les Lévites feront le service de la tente d`assignation, et ils resteront chargés de leurs iniquités. Ils n`auront point de possession au milieu des enfants d`Israël: ce sera une loi perpétuelle parmi vos descendants.
23. "Fa ny Levita no hanao ny fanompoana momba ny tranolay fihaonana, ary izy no hitondra ny helony; ho lalàna mandrakizay hatramin' ny taranakareo mifandimby izany, fa tsy mba hanana lova eo amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely izy."
24. But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
24. "Je donne comme possession aux Lévites les dîmes que les enfants d`Israël présenteront à l`Éternel par élévation; c`est pourquoi je dis à leur égard: Ils n`auront point de possession au milieu des enfants d`Israël."
24. "Fa ny ampahafolony avy amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely, izay atolony ho fanatitra ahevaheva ho an' i Jehovah, dia efa nomeko ho an' ny levita ho lovany; izany no nilazako taminy hoe: Tsy hanana lova eo amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely izy."
25. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
25. L`Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
25. Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:
26. Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.
26. "Tu parleras aux Lévites, et tu leur diras: Lorsque vous recevrez des enfants d`Israël la dîme que je vous donne de leur part comme votre possession, vous en prélèverez une offrande pour l`Éternel, une dîme de la dîme;"
26. Mitenena amin' ny Levita ka lazao aminy hoe: Rehefa raisinareo ny ampahafolony avy amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely izay efa nomeko anareo ho lovanareo avy aminy, dia hanolotra ny ampahafolon' izany ianareo ho fanatitra ahevaheva ho an' i Jehovah.
27. And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the fulness of the winepress.
27. et votre offrande vous sera comptée comme le blé qu`on prélève de l`aire et comme le moût qu`on prélève de la cuve.
27. Ary izany fanatitrareo asandratra izany dia hisaina ho anareo toy ny varimbazaha avy eo am-pamoloana sy toy ny fahabetsahana avy amin' ny famiazam-boaloboka.
28. Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD's heave offering to Aaron the priest.
28. C`est ainsi que vous prélèverez une offrande pour l`Éternel sur toutes les dîmes que vous recevrez des enfants d`Israël, et vous donnerez au sacrificateur Aaron l`offrande que vous en aurez prélevée pour l`Éternel.
28. "Toy izany koa ny hanoloranareo fanatitra asandratra ho an' i Jehovah avy amin' ny ampahafolon' ny anareo rehetra, izay raisinareo avy amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely; ary avy amin' izany no hanomezanareo fanatitra asandratra ho an' i Arona mpisorona."
29. Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.
29. "Sur tous les dons qui vous seront faits, vous prélèverez toutes les offrandes pour l`Éternel; sur tout ce qu`il y aura de meilleur, vous prélèverez la portion consacrée."
29. Avy amin' ny fanomezanareo rehetra dia hanolotra fanatitra asandratra ho an' i Jehovah ianareo avy amin' izay tsara indrindra amin' izany, dia izay zavatra masina avy aminy.
30. Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.
30. Tu leur diras: Quand vous en aurez prélevé le meilleur, la dîme sera comptée aux Lévites comme le revenu de l`aire et comme le revenu de la cuve.
30. Dia lazao aminy hoe: Raha nanandratra ho fanatitra ny tsara indrindra avy aminy ianareo, dia hisaina ho an' ny Levita toy ny vokatra avy eo am-pamoloana sy ny vokatra avy amin' ny famiazam-boaloboka izany.
31. And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.
31. "Vous la mangerez en un lieu quelconque, vous et votre maison; car c`est votre salaire pour le service que vous faites dans la tente d`assignation."
31. "Dia hihinana izany eny amin' ny fitoerana rehetra ianareo sy ny ankohonanareo; fa izany no valisoanareo noho ny fanompoanareo ao amin' ny tranolay fihaonana."
32. And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.
32. Vous ne serez chargés pour cela d`aucun péché, quand vous en aurez prélevé le meilleur, vous ne profanerez point les offrandes saintes des enfants d`Israël, et vous ne mourrez point.
32. "Ary tsy hahazoanareo heloka izany, raha manandratra ho fanatitra izay tsara indrindra avy amin' izany ianareo; ary tsy holotoinareo ny zava-masin' ny Zanak' Isiraely, fandrao ho faty ianareo."
