The Budding of Aaron's Staff
1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
1. L`Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
1. Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:
2. Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.
2. Parle aux enfants d`Israël, et prend d`eux une verge selon les maisons de leurs pères, soit douze verges de la part de tous leurs princes selon les maisons de leurs pères.
2. "Mitenena amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely, ka analao tehina iray avy araka ny fianakaviany izy, ka ny lohan'ny fireneny rehetra araka ny fianakaviany avy no hanalana azy, dia tehina roa ambin' ny folo; soraty eo amin' ny tehiny avy ny anaran' izy rehetra."
3. And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
3. "Tu écriras le nom de chacun sur sa verge, et tu écriras le nom d`Aaron sur la verge de Lévi; car il y aura une verge pour chaque chef des maisons de leurs pères."
3. "Ary ny anaran' i Arona no hosoratanao amin' ny tehin' i Levy; fa tehina iray avy no ho an' ny lohan' ny fianakaviany."
4. And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.
4. Tu les déposeras dans la tente d`assignation, devant le témoignage, où je me rencontre avec vous.
4. Dia hataonao ao amin' ny tranolay fihaonana ireo, dia eo anoloan' ny Vavolombelona, izay hihaonako aminareo.
5. And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
5. L`homme que je choisirai sera celui dont la verge fleurira, et je ferai cesser de devant moi les murmures que profèrent contre vous les enfants d`Israël.
5. "Ary izao no hiseho, ny tehin' ny lehilahy izay hofidiko dia hitsimoka; ka dia hampanginiko ny fimonomononan' ny Zanak' Isiraely amiko, izay imonomononany aminareo."
6. And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
6. "Moïse parla aux enfants d`Israël; et tous leurs princes lui donnèrent une verge, chaque prince une verge, selon les maisons de leurs pères, soit douze verges; la verge d`Aaron était au milieu des leurs."
6. "Ary Mosesy dia niteny tamin' ny Zanak' Isiraely, ka ny lohan' ny firenena dia samy nanome azy tehina iray avy, araka ny ankohonan' ny rainy, dia tehina roa ambin' ny folo; ary ny tehin' i Arona dia teo amin' ny tehin' ireo."
7. And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.
7. Moïse déposa les verges devant l`Éternel, dans la tente du témoignage.
7. Dia napetrak' i Mosesy teo anatrehan' i Jehovah, dia tao amin' ny tranolain' ny Vavolombelona ireo tehina ireo.
8. And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
8. Le lendemain, lorsque Moïse entra dans la tente du témoignage, voici, la verge d`Aaron, pour la maison de Lévi, avait fleuri, elle avait poussé des boutons, produit des fleurs, et mûri des amandes.

9. And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
9. Moïse ôta de devant l`Éternel toutes les verges, et les porta à tous les enfants d`Israël, afin qu`ils les vissent et qu`ils prissent chacun leur verge.
9. Dia nentin' i Mosesy nivoaka hiala eo anatrehan' i Jehovah ny tehina rehetra, ho eo amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely rehetra, dia nijery izy rehetra, ka samy nandray ny tehiny avy.
10. And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
10. L`Éternel dit à Moïse: Reporte la verge d`Aaron devant le témoignage, pour être conservée comme un signe pour les enfants de rébellion, afin que tu fasses cesser de devant moi leurs murmures et qu`ils ne meurent point.
10. "Dia hoy Jehovah tamin' i Mosesy: Avereno ny tehin' i Arona ho eo anoloan' ny Vavolombelona, hotehirizina ho famantarana ho an' ny mpiodina; ka hatsahatrao hiala amiko ny fimonomononany, mba tsy ho faty izy."
11. And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.
11. "Moïse fit ainsi; il se conforma à l`ordre que l`Éternel lui avait donné."
11. "Dia nataon' i Mosesy izany; araka izay efa nandidian' i Jehovah azy no nataony."
12. And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.
12. Les enfants d`Israël dirent à Moïse: Voici, nous expirons, nous périssons, nous périssons tous!
12. Dia niteny tamin' i Mosesy ny Zanak' Isiraely ka nanao hoe: Indro, maty izahay, ringana izahay, eny, ringana avokoa izahay rehetra.
13. Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?
13. Quiconque s`approche du tabernacle de l`Éternel, meurt. Nous faudra-t-il tous expirer?
13. "Ho faty izay rehetra manakaiky, dia izay manakaiky ny tabernakelin' i Jehovah; ho tapitra maty va izahay?"
