The Transfiguration
1. And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
1. Six jours après, Jésus prit avec lui Pierre, Jacques, et Jean, son frère, et il les conduisit à l`écart sur une haute montagne.

2. And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
2. "Il fut transfiguré devant eux; son visage resplendit comme le soleil, et ses vêtements devinrent blancs comme la lumière."
2. Dia niova tarehy teo anatrehany Izy, ka ny tavany namirapiratra tahaka ny masoandro, ary ny fitafiany tonga fotsy tahaka ny mazava.
3. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
3. Et voici, Moïse et Élie leur apparurent, s`entretenant avec lui.

4. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
4. "Pierre, prenant la parole, dit à Jésus: Seigneur, il est bon que nous soyons ici; si tu le veux, je dresserai ici trois tentes, une pour toi, une pour Moïse, et une pour Élie."

5. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
5. Comme il parlait encore, une nuée lumineuse les couvrit. Et voici, une voix fit entendre de la nuée ces paroles: Celui-ci est mon Fils bien-aimé, en qui j`ai mis toute mon affection: écoutez-le!
5. "Raha mbola niteny izy, indro, nisy rahona mazava nanarona azy ireo; ary, injao, nisy feo avy tao amin' ny rahona nanao hoe: Ity no Zanako malalako Izay sitrako; Izy no henoy."
6. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
6. Lorsqu`ils entendirent cette voix, les disciples tombèrent sur leur face, et furent saisis d`une grande frayeur.

7. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
7. Mais Jésus, s`approchant, les toucha, et dit: Levez-vous, n`ayez pas peur!
7. Ary nankeo aminy Jesosy sady nanendry azy, ka nanao hoe: Mitsangàna, fa aza matahotra.
8. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
8. Ils levèrent les yeux, et ne virent que Jésus seul.
8. Ary nony nanandrandra ny masony izy ireo, dia tsy nahita olona, afa-tsy Jesosy irery ihany.
9. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
9. Comme ils descendaient de la montagne, Jésus leur donna cet ordre: Ne parlez à personne de cette vision, jusqu`à ce que le Fils de l`homme soit ressuscité des morts.
9. Ary rehefa nidina avy tao an-tendrombohitra izy ireo, dia nandrara azy Jesosy ka nanao hoe: Aza milaza amin' olona ny fahitana, mandra-pitsangan' ny Zanak' olona amin' ny maty.
10. And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
10. Les disciples lui firent cette question: Pourquoi donc les scribes disent-ils qu`Élie doit venir premièrement?
10. Ary ny mpianany nanontany Azy ka nanao hoe: Nahoana àry no ilazan' ny mpanoradalàna fa Elia tsy maintsy ho avy aloha?
11. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
11. Il répondit: Il est vrai qu`Élie doit venir, et rétablir toutes choses.
11. Ary namaly Jesosy ka nanao hoe: Elia dia ho avy tokoa aloha, ary hampody ny zavatra rehetra.
12. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
12. Mais je vous dis qu`Élie est déjà venu, qu`ils ne l`ont pas reconnu, et qu`ils l`ont traité comme ils ont voulu. De même le Fils de l`homme souffrira de leur part.
12. "Nefa lazaiko aminareo: Efa tonga sahady Elia; nefa ny olona tsy nahafantatra azy, fa nanao izay sitraky ny fony taminy. Dia tahaka izany koa no hampiaretany ny Zanak' olona."
13. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
13. Les disciples comprirent alors qu`il leur parlait de Jean Baptiste.
13. Dia fantatry ny mpianatra fa Jaona Mpanao-batisa no nolazainy taminy.
The Healing of a Boy With a Demon
14. And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
14. Lorsqu`ils furent arrivés près de la foule, un homme vint se jeter à genoux devant Jésus, et dit:
14. Ary rehefa tonga teo amin' ny vahoaka izy ireo, nisy lehilahy anankiray nanatona an' i Jesosy, dia nandohalika teo anatrehany ka nanao hoe:
15. Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
15. "Seigneur, aie pitié de mon fils, qui est lunatique, et qui souffre cruellement; il tombe souvent dans le feu, et souvent dans l`eau."
15. "Tompoko, mamindrà fo amin' ny zanako lahy, fa mararin' ny androbe izy ka ory tokoa; fa matetika izy no mianjera ao amin' ny afo, ary matetika ao amin' ny rano."
16. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
16. Je l`ai amené à tes disciples, et ils n`ont pas pu le guérir.
16. Ary nitondra azy tamin' ny mpianatrao aho, fa tsy nahay nahasitrana azy izy.
17. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
17. Race incrédule et perverse, répondit Jésus, jusques à quand serai-je avec vous? jusques à quand vous supporterai-je? Amenez-le-moi ici.
17. Ary Jesosy namaly ka nanao hoe: Ry taranaka tsy mino sady efa nivadika, mandra-pahoviana no hitoerako aminareo? mandra-pahoviana no handeferako aminareo? Ento aty amiko izy.
18. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
18. Jésus parla sévèrement au démon, qui sortit de lui, et l`enfant fut guéri à l`heure même.
18. Ary niteny mafy ny devoly Jesosy, dia nivoaka taminy izany, ka sitrana tamin' izay ora izay ilay zaza.
19. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
19. Alors les disciples s`approchèrent de Jésus, et lui dirent en particulier: Pourquoi n`avons-nous pu chasser ce démon?
19. Ary nankao amin' i Jesosy manokana ny mpianatra ka nanao hoe: Nahoana izahay no tsy nahavoaka azy?
20. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
20. "C`est à cause de votre incrédulité, leur dit Jésus. Je vous le dis en vérité, si vous aviez de la foi comme un grain de sénevé, vous diriez à cette montagne: Transporte-toi d`ici là, et elle se transporterait; rien ne vous serait impossible."
20. "Ary hoy Jesosy taminy: Noho ny tsy finoanareo; fa lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa: raha manana finoana ohatra ny voantsinapy iray aza ianareo, ka hiteny amin' io tendrombohitra io ianareo hoe: Mifindrà ery, dia hifindra izy; ary tsy hisy tsy ho hainareo hatao."
21. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
21. Mais cette sorte de démon ne sort que par la prière et par le jeûne.
21. Kanefa iny karazana iny tsy mivoaka raha tsy amin' ny vavaka sy ny fifadian-kanina.
22. And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
22. "Pendant qu`ils parcouraient la Galilée, Jésus leur dit: Le Fils de l`homme doit être livré entre les mains des hommes;"
22. "Ary raha nitoetra tany Galilia Izy, dia nilaza tamin' ny mpianany Jesosy hoe: Ny Zanak' Olona dia havadika ho eo an-tanan' ny olona;"
23. And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.
23. ils le feront mourir, et le troisième jour il ressuscitera. Ils furent profondément attristés.
23. Ka hovonoiny izy, nefa amin' ny andro fahatelo dia hatsangana indray Izy. Ary dia nalahelo indrindra ireo.
The Temple Tax
24. And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
24. Lorsqu`ils arrivèrent à Capernaüm, ceux qui percevaient les deux drachmes s`adressèrent à Pierre, et lui dirent: Votre maître ne paie-t-il pas les deux drachmes?
24. Ary nony tonga tao Kapernaomy Izy, dia nankeo amin' i Petera ny mpandray ny antsasaky ny sekely ka nanao hoe: Moa tsy mba mandoa hetra va ny mpampianatra anareo?
25. He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
25. Oui, dit-il. Et quand il fut entré dans la maison, Jésus le prévint, et dit: Que t`en semble, Simon? Les rois de la terre, de qui perçoivent-ils des tributs ou des impôts? de leurs fils, ou des étrangers?
25. Dia hoy Petera: Eny. Ary raha vao tafiditra tao an-trano Petera, dia nosakanan' i Jesosy teny mialoha izy ka nataony hoe: Ahoana ny hevitrao, ry Simona? Avy amin' iza moa no andraisan' ny mpanjaka ety an-tany fadintseranana sy vola hetra? Avy amin' ny zanany va sa avy amin' olon-kafa?
26. Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
26. Il lui dit: Des étrangers. Et Jésus lui répondit: Les fils en sont donc exempts.
26. Hoy Petera taminy: Avy amin' olon-kafa. Hoy Jesosy taminy: dia afaka izany ny zanaka.
27. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
27. "Mais, pour ne pas les scandaliser, va à la mer, jette l`hameçon, et tire le premier poisson qui viendra; ouvre-lui la bouche, et tu trouveras un statère. Prends-le, et donne-le-leur pour moi et pour toi."
27. Na dia izany aza, andrao isika manafintohina azy, dia mankanesa ao amin' ny ranomasina ianao, ka manjonoa ary raiso izay hazandrano azo voalohany, ka rehefa sokafanao ny vavany, dia hahita vola eo ianao, dia raiso izany, ka omeo azy ho avy amiko sy ianao.
