1. And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

3. And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

4. And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

5. A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
5. Un semeur sortit pour semer sa semence. Comme il semait, une partie de la semence tomba le long du chemin: elle fut foulée aux pieds, et les oiseaux du ciel la mangèrent.

6. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

7. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
7. Une autre partie tomba au milieu des épines: les épines crûrent avec elle, et l`étouffèrent.

8. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
8. Une autre partie tomba dans la bonne terre: quand elle fut levée, elle donna du fruit au centuple. Après avoir ainsi parlé, Jésus dit à haute voix: Que celui qui a des oreilles pour entendre entende!

9. And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

10. And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
10. "Il répondit: Il vous a été donné de connaître les mystères du royaume de Dieu; mais pour les autres, cela leur est dit en paraboles, afin qu`en voyant ils ne voient point, et qu`en entendant ils ne comprennent point."

11. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
11. Voici ce que signifie cette parabole: La semence, c`est la parole de Dieu.
11. Koa izao no hevitry ny fanoharana: Ny voa dia ny tenin' Andriamanitra.
12. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
12. "Ceux qui sont le long du chemin, ce sont ceux qui entendent; puis le diable vient, et enlève de leur coeur la parole, de peur qu`ils ne croient et soient sauvés."

13. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
13. "Ceux qui sont sur le roc, ce sont ceux qui, lorsqu`ils entendent la parole, la reçoivent avec joie; mais ils n`ont point de racine, ils croient pour un temps, et ils succombent au moment de la tentation."
13. "Ireo teny ambonin' ny vatolampy dia izay mandre sady mandray ny teny amin' ny hafaliana; nefa tsy manam-paka ireo, fa mino vetivety ihany, koa amin' izay andro isehoan' ny fakampanahy dia mihemotra izy."
14. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
14. Ce qui est tombé parmi les épines, ce sont ceux qui, ayant entendu la parole, s`en vont, et la laissent étouffer par les soucis, les richesses et les plaisirs de la vie, et ils ne portent point de fruit qui vienne à maturité.

15. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
15. Ce qui est tombé dans la bonne terre, ce sont ceux qui, ayant entendu la parole avec un coeur honnête et bon, la retiennent, et portent du fruit avec persévérance.
15. Fa ireo teny amin' ny tany tsara kosa dia izay mandre ny teny amin' ny fo sady marina no tsara, dia mitana azy ka mamoa amin' ny faharetana.
16. No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
16. "Personne, après avoir allumé une lampe, ne la couvre d`un vase, ou ne la met sous un lit; mais il la met sur un chandelier, afin que ceux qui entrent voient la lumière."
16. Tsy misy olona mampirehitra jiro ka manarona azy amin' ny vata famarana, na mametraka azy ao ambanin' ny farafara, fa ataony eo amin' ny fanaovanjiro izy, mba ho hitan' izay miditra ny mazava.
17. For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
17. Car il n`est rien de caché qui ne doive être découvert, rien de secret qui ne doive être connu et mis au jour.
17. Fa tsy misy takona izay tsy ho hita, na miafina izay tsy ho fantatra sy tsy haseho.
18. Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
18. "Prenez donc garde à la manière dont vous écoutez; car on donnera à celui qui a, mais à celui qui n`a pas on ôtera même ce qu`il croit avoir."

19. Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.
19. "La mère et les frères de Jésus vinrent le trouver; mais ils ne purent l`aborder, à cause de la foule."
19. Ary ny renin' i Jesosy sy ny rahalahiny nanatona Azy fa tsy afaka nihaona taminy, satria nifanety ny vahoaka.
20. And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
20. On lui dit: Ta mère et tes frères sont dehors, et ils désirent te voir.

21. And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
21. Mais il répondit: Ma mère et mes frères, ce sont ceux qui écoutent la parole de Dieu, et qui la mettent en pratique.

22. Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
22. Un jour, Jésus monta dans une barque avec ses disciples. Il leur dit: Passons de l`autre côté du lac. Et ils partirent.

23. But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
23. Pendant qu`ils naviguaient, Jésus s`endormit. Un tourbillon fondit sur le lac, la barque se remplissait d`eau, et ils étaient en péril.
23. "Ary nony nandeha ny sambokely, dia azon' ny torimaso Jesosy; ary nisy tafio-drivotra nidina tamin' ny farihy, ka nila ho feno rano ny sambo, ary saiky nahita loza izy ireo."
24. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
24. Ils s`approchèrent et le réveillèrent, en disant: Maître, maître, nous périssons! S`étant réveillé, il menaça le vent et les flots, qui s`apaisèrent, et le calme revint.
24. "Ary nanatona izy ireo, dia namoha Azy ka nanao hoe: Mpampianatra ô, Mpampianatra ô, maty izahay! Dia nitsangana Izy, ka noteneniny mafy ny rivotra sy ny onjan-drano; ary dia nitsahatra izany ka tony tsara ny andro."
25. And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
25. Puis il leur dit: Où est votre foi? Saisis de frayeur et d`étonnement, ils se dirent les uns aux autres: Quel est donc celui-ci, qui commande même au vent et à l`eau, et à qui ils obéissent?

26. And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
26. Ils abordèrent dans le pays des Géraséniens, qui est vis-à-vis de la Galilée.
26. Dia tody tany amin' ny tany Gadarena izay tandrifin' i Galilia izy ireo.
27. And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
27. Lorsque Jésus fut descendu à terre, il vint au-devant de lui un homme de la ville, qui était possédé de plusieurs démons. Depuis longtemps il ne portait point de vêtement, et avait sa demeure non dans une maison, mais dans les sépulcres.
27. Ary raha niala nankeny an-tanety Izy, dia nifanena tamin' ny lehilahy anankiray avy tao an-tanàna izay efa nisy devoly naharitra ela, tsy nitafy lamba sady tsy nitoetra tao an-trano, fa teny amin' ny fasana.
28. When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
28. Ayant vu Jésus, il poussa un cri, se jeta à ses pieds, et dit d`une voix forte: Qu`y a-t-il entre moi et toi, Jésus, Fils du Dieu Très Haut? Je t`en supplie, ne me tourmente pas.
28. Fa nony nahita an' i Jesosy izy, dia niantso mafy sady niankohoka teo anatrehany ka niteny tamin' ny feo mahery hoe: Moa mifaninona akory izaho sy Ianao, ry Jesosy, Zanak' Andriamanitra Avo Indrindra ô! masìna Ianao, aza mampijaly ahy.
29. (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
29. "Car Jésus commandait à l`esprit impur de sortir de cet homme, dont il s`était emparé depuis longtemps; on le gardait lié de chaînes et les fers aux pieds, mais il rompait les liens, et il était entraîné par le démon dans les déserts."

30. And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
30. Jésus lui demanda: Quel est ton nom? Légion, répondit-il. Car plusieurs démons étaient entrés en lui.
30. "Ary nanontany azy Jesosy ka nanao hoe: Iza moa no anaranao? Dia hoy izy: Legiona; fa devoly maro no efa niditra tao aminy."
31. And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.
31. Et ils priaient instamment Jésus de ne pas leur ordonner d`aller dans l`abîme.
31. Ary nifona taminy izy ireo mba tsy handidiany azy hankany amin' ny lavaka tsy hita noanoa.
32. And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
32. Il y avait là, dans la montagne, un grand troupeau de pourceaux qui paissaient. Et les démons supplièrent Jésus de leur permettre d`entrer dans ces pourceaux. Il le leur permit.

33. Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
33. Les démons sortirent de cet homme, entrèrent dans les pourceaux, et le troupeau se précipita des pentes escarpées dans le lac, et se noya.

34. When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.
34. Ceux qui les faisaient paître, voyant ce qui était arrivé, s`enfuirent, et répandirent la nouvelle dans la ville et dans les campagnes.
34. Ary nony hitan' ny mpiandry izany natao izany, dia nandositra izy ka nilaza izany tao an-tanàna sy tany an-tsaha.
35. Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
35. "Les gens allèrent voir ce qui était arrivé. Ils vinrent auprès de Jésus, et ils trouvèrent l`homme de qui étaient sortis les démons, assis à ses pieds, vêtu, et dans son bon sens; et ils furent saisis de frayeur."
35. "Dia nivoaka ny olona mba hizaha izay efa natao, ary tonga tany amin' i Jesosy izy, dia nahita an-dralehilahy izay efa nivoahan' ny devoly, fa indro izy nipetraka teo anilan' ny tongotr' i Jesosy, nitafy lamba sady ary saina; dia raiki-tahotra ireo."
36. They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.
36. Ceux qui avaient vu ce qui s`était passé leur racontèrent comment le démoniaque avait été guéri.
36. Ary izay efa nahita koa dia nanambara tamin' ny olona ny nanasitranana ilay lehilahy nisy devoly.
37. Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.
37. Tous les habitants du pays des Géraséniens prièrent Jésus de s`éloigner d`eux, car ils étaient saisis d`une grande crainte. Jésus monta dans la barque, et s`en retourna.
37. "Ary ny olona rehetra tany amin' ny tany Gadarena sy ny manodidina dia niangavy an' i Jesosy hiala teo aminy, satria raiki-tahotra indrindra izy; ary niondrana an-tsambokely Jesosy ka niverina indray."
38. Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
38. L`homme de qui étaient sortis les démons lui demandait la permission de rester avec lui. Mais Jésus le renvoya, en disant:

39. Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.
39. Retourne dans ta maison, et raconte tout ce que Dieu t`a fait. Il s`en alla, et publia par toute la ville tout ce que Jésus avait fait pour lui.

40. And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.
40. A son retour, Jésus fut reçu par la foule, car tous l`attendaient.

41. And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:
41. Et voici, il vint un homme, nommé Jaïrus, qui était chef de la synagogue. Il se jeta à ses pieds, et le supplia d`entrer dans sa maison,
41. "Ary, indro, tonga ny lehilahy atao hoe Jaïro, mpanapaka ny synagoga; dia niankohoka tamin' ny tongotr' i Jesosy izy, ka niangavy taminy hiditra ao an-tranony."
42. For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.

43. And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
43. Or, il y avait une femme atteinte d`une perte de sang depuis douze ans, et qui avait dépensé tout son bien pour les médecins, sans qu`aucun ait pu la guérir.
43. Ary nisy vehivavy anankiray narary nitsì-drà, izay efa nandany ny fananany rehetra tamin' ny dokotera, nefa tsy nisy nahasitrana azy.
44. Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
44. Elle s`approcha par derrière, et toucha le bord du vêtement de Jésus. Au même instant la perte de sang s`arrêta.
44. Dia nankao ivohon' i Jesosy ravehivavy, ka nanendry ny somotraviavin-dambany, ary niaraka tamin' izay dia nijanona ny fandehan' ny rany.
45. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
45. Et Jésus dit: Qui m`a touché? Comme tous s`en défendaient, Pierre et ceux qui étaient avec lui dirent: Maître, la foule t`entoure et te presse, et tu dis: Qui m`a touché?
45. Ary hoy Jesosy: Iza moa no nanendry Ahy? Ary rehefa samy nandà izy rehetra, dia hoy Petera sy izay niaraka taminy: Mpampianatra ô, ny vahoaka betsaka mifanety ka manizina Anao, ka hoy Ianao va, iza no nanendry Ahy?
46. And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
46. Mais Jésus répondit: Quelqu`un m`a touché, car j`ai connu qu`une force était sortie de moi.
46. "Fa hoy Jesosy: Nisy olona nanendry Ahy; fa fantatro fa nisy hery nivoaka avy tamiko."
47. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
47. La femme, se voyant découverte, vint toute tremblante se jeter à ses pieds, et déclara devant tout le peuple pourquoi elle l`avait touché, et comment elle avait été guérie à l`instant.

48. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
48. "Jésus lui dit: Ma fille, ta foi t`a sauvée; va en paix."
48. "Ary hoy Jesosy taminy: Anaka, mahereza, ny finoanao no nahasitrana anao tanteraka; mandehana soa aman-tsara."
49. While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.
49. "Comme il parlait encore, survint de chez le chef de la synagogue quelqu`un disant: Ta fille est morte; n`importune pas le maître."
49. "Ary raha mbola niteny Jesosy, dia tonga ny anankiray avy tany amin' ilay mpanapaka ny synagoga ka nanao taminy hoe: Maty ny zanakao vavy; aza manahirana ny Mpampianatra."
50. But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
50. Mais Jésus, ayant entendu cela, dit au chef de la synagogue: Ne crains pas, crois seulement, et elle sera sauvée.

51. And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.
51. Lorsqu`il fut arrivé à la maison, il ne permit à personne d`entrer avec lui, si ce n`est à Pierre, à Jean et à Jacques, et au père et à la mère de l`enfant.

52. And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.
52. "Tous pleuraient et se lamentaient sur elle. Alors Jésus dit: Ne pleurez pas; elle n`est pas morte, mais elle dort."

53. And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
53. Et ils se moquaient de lui, sachant qu`elle était morte.
