1. Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

2. How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
2. Jusqu`à quand veux-tu discourir de la sorte, Et les paroles de ta bouche seront-elles un vent impétueux?
2. Mandra-pahoviana no hiteny izany zavatra izany ianao? Ary mandra-pahoviana no ho rivotra mahery ny tenin' ny vavanao?
3. Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
3. Dieu renverserait-il le droit? Le Tout Puissant renverserait-il la justice?
3. Andriamanitra va dia hamadika fitsarana, na ny Tsitoha va hamadika ny fahamarinana?
4. If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
4. Si tes fils ont péché contre lui, Il les a livrés à leur péché.
4. Raha nanota taminy ny zanakao dia efa nampanodiaviny azy ny fahadisoany.
5. If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
5. "Mais toi, si tu as recours à Dieu, Si tu implores le Tout Puissant;"
5. "Fa raha mitady an' Andriamanitra haingana ianao, ka mifona amin' ny Tsitoha;"
6. If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
6. "Si tu es juste et droit, Certainement alors il veillera sur toi, Et rendra le bonheur à ton innocente demeure;"
6. Raha madio sy mahitsy ianao dia hifoha hamonjy anao tokoa Izy, ary hanambina ny fonenan' ny fahamarinanao.
7. Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
7. Ton ancienne prospérité semblera peu de chose, Celle qui t`est réservée sera bien plus grande.
7. Na dia kely aza no niandohanao, dia ho lehibe indrindra no hiafaranao.
8. For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
8. Interroge ceux des générations passées, Sois attentif à l`expérience de leurs pères.
8. "Fa masìna ianao, anontanio ange ny ntaolo, ka miomàna hitady ny hevitra hitan' ny razany;"
9. (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
9. Car nous sommes d`hier, et nous ne savons rien, Nos jours sur la terre ne sont qu`une ombre.

10. Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
10. Ils t`instruiront, ils te parleront, Ils tireront de leur coeur ces sentences:
10. Tsy ireny va no hampianatra anao ka hilaza aminao ary hamoaka teny avy ao am-pony?
11. Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
11. Le jonc croît-il sans marais? Le roseau croît-il sans humidité?
11. Haniry va ny zozoro, raha tsy eny amin' ny fotaka? Hitrebona va ny harefo, raha tsy misy rano?
12. Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.
12. Encore vert et sans qu`on le coupe, Il sèche plus vite que toutes les herbes.
12. Mbola maitso izy sady tsy voajinja, kanefa malazo alohan' ny zava-maitso rehetra.
13. So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:
13. Ainsi arrive-t-il à tous ceux qui oublient Dieu, Et l`espérance de l`impie périra.

14. Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web.
14. Son assurance est brisée, Son soutien est une toile d`araignée.
14. Fa ho maito ny fanantenany, eny, ho tranon-kala ny tokiny.
15. He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
15. "Il s`appuie sur sa maison, et elle n`est pas ferme; Il s`y cramponne, et elle ne résiste pas."
15. Hiankina amin' ny tranony izy, kanjo tsy haharitra izany, hihazona azy mafy izy kanjo tsy hahazaka azy izany.
16. He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
16. Dans toute sa vigueur, en plein soleil, Il étend ses rameaux sur son jardin,
16. "Mitsimoka tsara tandrifin' ny masoandro izy, ary ny rantsany misandrahaka eo amin' ny tanimboliny;"
17. His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.
17. "Il entrelace ses racines parmi les pierres, Il pénètre jusque dans les murailles;"
17. Mifelipelika mifaniditra eo amin' ny antontam-bato ny fakany, ary mahazo ny fitoeran' ny vato.
18. If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.
18. L`arrache-t-on du lieu qu`il occupe, Ce lieu le renie: Je ne t`ai point connu!
18. Raha fongorany hiala amin' ny fitoerany izy, dia handà azy izany ka hanao hoe: Tsy mbola nahita anao aho.
19. Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
19. Telles sont les délices que ses voies lui procurent. Puis sur le même sol d`autres s`élèvent après lui.
19. "Indro, izany no fifalian' ny lalan-kalehany; ary hisy hafa hitrebona avy amin' ny tany."
20. Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
20. Non, Dieu ne rejette point l`homme intègre, Et il ne protège point les méchants.
20. "Indro, Andriamanitra tsy hanary ny olona tsy manan-tsiny, na hanampy ny mpanao ratsy;"
21. Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
21. Il remplira ta bouche de cris de joie, Et tes lèvres de chants d`allégresse.
21. Ambara-pamenony hehy ny vavanao sy hoby ny molotrao.
22. They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
22. "Tes ennemis seront couverts de honte; La tente des méchants disparaîtra."
22. "Izay mankahala anao hitafy henatra; ary ho foana ny fonenan' ny ratsy fanahy."
