1. Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,

2. Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
2. (39:35) Celui qui dispute contre le Tout Puissant est-il convaincu? Celui qui conteste avec Dieu a-t-il une réplique à faire?
2. Izay mifanditra amin' ny Tsitoha va dia hampianatra Azy? Izay mananatra an' Andriamanitra no aoka hamaly izany.
3. Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
3. (39:36) Job répondit à l`Éternel et dit:
3. Ary Joba dia namaly an' i Jehovah ka nanao hoe:
4. Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
4. "(39:37) Voici, je suis trop peu de chose; que te répliquerais-je? Je mets la main sur ma bouche."
4. Indro, tsinontsinona aho, ka inona no azoko havaly Anao? Hitampim-bava aho izao.
5. Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
5. "(39:38) J`ai parlé une fois, je ne répondrai plus; Deux fois, je n`ajouterai rien."
5. "Efa niteny indray mandeha aho, ka tsy hamaly intsony; eny, indroa aza, fa tsy hanampy teny intsony aho."
6. Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
6. (40:1) L`Éternel répondit à Job du milieu de la tempête et dit:
6. Dia namaly an' i Joba teo amin' ny tafio-drivotra Jehovah ka nanao hoe:
7. Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
7. "(40:2) Ceins tes reins comme un vaillant homme; Je t`interrogerai, et tu m`instruiras."
7. Misikìna tahaka ny lehilahy ankehitriny, fa hanadina anao aho, ka ambarao amiko.
8. Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
8. (40:3) Anéantiras-tu jusqu`à ma justice? Me condamneras-tu pour te donner droit?
8. Hanaisotra ny rariny amiko koa va ianao? Hanameloka Ahy va ianao mba ho marina kosa ny tenanao?
9. Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
9. (40:4) As-tu un bras comme celui de Dieu, Une voix tonnante comme la sienne?
9. Manan-tsandry tahaka ny an' Andriamanitra va ianao? Ary mahay mampikotrokotro-peo tahaka ny Azy va ianao?
10. Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.
10. (40:5) Orne-toi de magnificence et de grandeur, Revêts-toi de splendeur et de gloire!
10. "Miravaha fahalehibiazana sy tabiha ianao, ary mitafia famirapiratana sy fahatsarana;"
11. Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
11. (40:6) Répands les flots de ta colère, Et d`un regard abaisse les hautains!
11. "Aelezo eny ivelany ny fahatezeranao mirehitra; ary jereo izay rehetra miavonavona, ka aetreo."
12. Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
12. (40:7) D`un regard humilie les hautains, Écrase sur place les méchants,
12. "Jereo izay rehetra miavonavona ka aongano; ary apotrahy eo amin' ny fitoerany ihany ny ratsy fanahy."
13. Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
13. (40:8) Cache-les tous ensemble dans la poussière, Enferme leur front dans les ténèbres!
13. Afeno ao amin' ny vovoka avokoa izy rehetra, ary saròny ao amin' ny fiafenana ny tavany.
14. Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
14. (40:9) Alors je rends hommage A la puissance de ta droite.

15. Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
15. (40:10) Voici l`hippopotame, à qui j`ai donné la vie comme à toi! Il mange de l`herbe comme le boeuf.
15. "Jereo ange ny behemota izay nataoko tahaka ny nanaovako anao ihany; mihinana ahitra tahaka ny omby izy."
16. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
16. "(40:11) Le voici! Sa force est dans ses reins, Et sa vigueur dans les muscles de son ventre;"
16. Indro, eo amin' ny valahany ny heriny, ary eo amin' ny ozatra eo amin' ny kibony ny tanjany.
17. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
17. "(40:12) Il plie sa queue aussi ferme qu`un cèdre; Les nerfs de ses cuisses sont entrelacés;"
17. "Henjaniny ny rambony ho tahaka ny hazo sedera; mifaniditriditra ny ozatra amin' ny feny."
18. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
18. (40:13) Ses os sont des tubes d`airain, Ses membres sont comme des barres de fer.
18. Ny taolany dia tahaka ny fantsom-barahina matanjaka, tahaka ny anja-by ny taolany.
19. He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
19. "(40:14) Il est la première des oeuvres de Dieu; Celui qui l`a fait l`a pourvu d`un glaive."
19. "Voalohany amin' ny asan' Andriamanitra izy; Izay nanao azy no mahay mampanatona ny sabany aminy."
20. Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
20. (40:15) Il trouve sa pâture dans les montagnes, Où se jouent toutes les bêtes des champs.
20. Mamoaka hanina ho azy tokoa ny tendrombohitra izay ilalaovan' ny biby rehetra any an-tsaha.
21. He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
21. "(40:16) Il se couche sous les lotus, Au milieu des roseaux et des marécages;"
21. Eo ambanin' ny hazo lota no andriany, any am-pierena anaty zozoro sy fotaka.
22. The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
22. (40:17) Les lotus le couvrent de leur ombre, Les saules du torrent l`environnent.
22. "Manalokaloka azy ny hazo lota; ary ny hazomalahelo eny amoron' ny ony no manodidina azy."
23. Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
23. (40:18) Que le fleuve vienne à déborder, il ne s`enfuit pas: Que le Jourdain se précipite dans sa gueule, il reste calme.
23. "Indro, na dia maria aza ny ony, tsy manahy hisotro izy; matoky izy na dia misy Jordana migorodana amin' ny vavany aza."
24. He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
24. (40:19) Est-ce à force ouverte qu`on pourra le saisir? Est-ce au moyen de filets qu`on lui percera le nez?
24. Moa misy mahasambotra azy va raha mihiratra ny masony? Raha azon' ny fandrika izy, misy maha-tsindrona ny orony va?
