2. Mahisa ny volana izay taperiny va ianao? Ary fantatrao va ny fotoana izay hahaterahany?
3. They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.
3. (39:6) Elles se courbent, laissent échapper leur progéniture, Et sont délivrées de leurs douleurs.
3. Miondrika izy ka teraka sady alefany ny faharariany.
4. Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.
4. (39:7) Leurs petits prennent de la vigueur et grandissent en plein air, Ils s`éloignent et ne reviennent plus auprès d`elles.
4. "Donga ny zanany, mihalehibe amin' ny varimbazaha izy; mandeha izy ka tsy miverina intsony."
5. Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
5. (39:8) Qui met en liberté l`âne sauvage, Et l`affranchit de tout lien?

6. Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.
6. (39:9) J`ai fait du désert son habitation, De la terre salée sa demeure.

7. He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.
7. (39:10) Il se rit du tumulte des villes, Il n`entend pas les cris d`un maître.

8. The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.

11. Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
11. (39:14) Te reposes-tu sur lui, parce que sa force est grande? Lui abandonnes-tu le soin de tes travaux?
11. Azonao itokiana va izy, satria lehibe ny heriny? Ary havelanao hataony va ny asanao?
12. Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?
12. (39:15) Te fies-tu à lui pour la rentrée de ta récolte? Est-ce lui qui doit l`amasser dans ton aire?
12. Azonao itokiana hitondra mody ny vokatrao va izy sy hanangona izany ho any an-tsompitrao?
13. Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
13. "(39:16) L`aile de l`autruche se déploie joyeuse; On dirait l`aile, le plumage de la cigogne."

14. Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,

15. And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
15. (39:18) Elle oublie que le pied peut les écraser, Qu`une bête des champs peut les fouler.

16. She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;
16. "(39:19) Elle est dure envers ses petits comme s`ils n`étaient point à elle; Elle ne s`inquiète pas de l`inutilité de son enfantement."

18. What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
18. (39:21) Quand elle se lève et prend sa course, Elle se rit du cheval et de son cavalier.

19. Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
19. (39:22) Est-ce toi qui donnes la vigueur au cheval, Et qui revêts son cou d`une crinière flottante?
19. Moa nanome hery ny soavaly va ianao, na nanarona vombo mihofahofa ny vozony?
20. Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
20. (39:23) Le fais-tu bondir comme la sauterelle? Son fier hennissement répand la terreur.
20. Mahay mampitahotra azy tahaka ny valala va ianao? Mahatsiravina ny fiefonefon' ny vavorony.
21. He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
21. "(39:24) Il creuse le sol et se réjouit de sa force, Il s`élance au-devant des armes;"
21. "Mihehy eo amin' ny lohasaha izy ka mifalifaly noho ny heriny; mandroso hifanehatra amin’ny lehilahy mpiady izy."
22. He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
22. (39:25) Il se rit de la crainte, il n`a pas peur, Il ne recule pas en face de l`épée.

23. The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
23. (39:26) Sur lui retentit le carquois, Brillent la lance et le javelot.

24. He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
24. (39:27) Bouillonnant d`ardeur, il dévore la terre, Il ne peut se contenir au bruit de la trompette.
24. "Mitelina ny tany amin' ny fahavinirana sy ny fahatezerana izy; tsy mino izy fa feon' anjomara izany."
25. He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
25. (39:28) Quand la trompette sonne, il dit: En avant! Et de loin il flaire la bataille, La voix tonnante des chefs et les cris de guerre.
25. Hoy izy amin' ny feon' ny anjomara: Ha! ha! dia manimbolo ny ady izy, raha mbola lavitra, ary ny akoralava sy ny fitabataban' ny kapiteny.
26. Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?
26. (39:29) Est-ce par ton intelligence que l`épervier prend son vol, Et qu`il étend ses ailes vers le midi?
26. Ny fahendrenao va no mampanidina ny hitsikitsika sy mampamelatra ny elany hianatsimo?
27. Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?
27. (39:30) Est-ce par ton ordre que l`aigle s`élève, Et qu`il place son nid sur les hauteurs?
27. Noho ny didinao va no iakaran' ny voromahery sy anaovany ny akaniny eny andringiringy?
28. She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.
28. (39:31) C`est dans les rochers qu`il habite, qu`il a sa demeure, Sur la cime des rochers, sur le sommet des monts.
28. Eny amin' ny harambato no onenany sy itoerany, dia eo an-tampon' ny harambato sy eo amin' ny fitoerana mafy.
29. From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
29. (39:32) De là il épie sa proie, Il plonge au loin les regards.
29. "Any no itazanany remby; mahatsinjo lavitra ny masony."
30. Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
30. "(39:33) Ses petits boivent le sang; Et là où sont des cadavres, l`aigle se trouve."
