The LORD Speaks
1. Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2. Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
2. Qui est celui qui obscurcit mes desseins Par des discours sans intelligence?
2. Iza moa izato manao izay hahamaizina ny fisainana amin' ny teny tsy misy fahalalana?
3. Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
3. "Ceins tes reins comme un vaillant homme; Je t`interrogerai, et tu m`instruiras."
3. "Misikìna àry tahaka ny lehilahy; fa hanadina anao Aho, ka valio Aho:"
4. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
4. Où étais-tu quand je fondais la terre? Dis-le, si tu as de l`intelligence.
4. Taiza ary ianao, fony aho nanorina ny tany? Ambarao raha fantatrao?
5. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
5. Qui en a fixé les dimensions, le sais-tu? Ou qui a étendu sur elle le cordeau?
5. Iza àry no nandidy izay ho refiny, raha fantatrao? Ary iza no nanenjana ny famolaina teo aminy?
6. Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
6. Sur quoi ses bases sont-elles appuyées? Ou qui en a posé la pierre angulaire,
6. Teo amin' inona no nanorenana ny vodi-andriny, ary iza no namelatra ny vato fehizorony,
7. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
7. Alors que les étoiles du matin éclataient en chants d`allégresse, Et que tous les fils de Dieu poussaient des cris de joie?
7. Raha niara-nihira ny kintan' ny maraina, ary nihobim-pifaliana ireo zanak' Andriamanitra?
8. Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
8. "Qui a fermé la mer avec des portes, Quand elle s`élança du sein maternel;"
8. Ary iza no nanao varavarana misakana ny ranomasina, raha nibosesika nivoaka avy tany am-bohoka izy,
9. When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
9. "Quand je fis de la nuée son vêtement, Et de l`obscurité ses langes;"
9. Raha nanao ny rahona ho fitafiany aho ary ny haizim-pito ho fonony,
10. And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
10. "Quand je lui imposai ma loi, Et que je lui mis des barrières et des portes;"
10. Ary nandidy ny ho fetrany sady nanisy hidy sy varavarana,
11. And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
11. "Quand je dis: Tu viendras jusqu`ici, tu n`iras pas au delà; Ici s`arrêtera l`orgueil de tes flots?"
11. Ka nanao hoe: Hatreto no azonao androsoana ka tsy hihoatra, ary eto no hampijanonana ny fisafoaky ny onjanao?
12. Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;
12. Depuis que tu existes, as-tu commandé au matin? As-tu montré sa place à l`aurore,
12. Hatrizay niainanao, moa mba efa nandidy ny maraina va ianao? Efa notoroanao ny fitoerany va ny fipoak' andro?
13. That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
13. "Pour qu`elle saisisse les extrémités de la terre, Et que les méchants en soient secoués;"
13. Mba horaisiny ny sisin' ny tany, ka hakopakopany hiala ny ratsy fanahy?
14. It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.
14. "Pour que la terre se transforme comme l`argile qui reçoit une empreinte, Et qu`elle soit parée comme d`un vêtement;"
14. Hiova tahaka ny tanimanga tombohin-kase ny endriny, ka hiseho tahaka ny fitafiana.
15. And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.
15. Pour que les méchants soient privés de leur lumière, Et que le bras qui se lève soit brisé?
15. Ary hosakanana ny fahazavan' ny ratsy fanahy, ka ho tapaka ny sandry ningaina.
16. Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
16. As-tu pénétré jusqu`aux sources de la mer? T`es-tu promené dans les profondeurs de l`abîme?
16. Moa efa niditra hatrany amin' ny loharanon-dranomasina va ianao, ary efa nandehandeha tany amin' ny fanambanin' ny lalina?
17. Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?
17. Les portes de la mort t`ont-elles été ouvertes? As-tu vu les portes de l`ombre de la mort?
17. Moa efa naharihary taminao va ny vavahadin' ny fahafatesana? Ary efa hitanao va ny varavaran' ny aloky ny fahafatesana?
18. Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
18. As-tu embrassé du regard l`étendue de la terre? Parle, si tu sais toutes ces choses.
18. Moa efa hitanao ve ny sakan' ny tany? Ambarao àry, raha fantatrao izany rehetra izany.
19. Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,
19. Où est le chemin qui conduit au séjour de la lumière? Et les ténèbres, où ont-elles leur demeure?
19. Aiza àry no lalana ho any amin' ny fonenan' ny mazava? Ary ny haizina, aiza àry ny fitoerany?
20. That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?
20. Peux-tu les saisir à leur limite, Et connaître les sentiers de leur habitation?
20. Mba hitondranao izany ho amin' ny faran' ny alehany, ary ho fantatrao ny lalana ho any an-tranony.
21. Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?
21. Tu le sais, car alors tu étais né, Et le nombre de tes jours est grand!
21. Eny, fantatrao mantsy izany, satria efa teraka ianao tamin' izay, ary maro ny isan' ny andronao !
22. Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
22. Es-tu parvenu jusqu`aux amas de neige? As-tu vu les dépôts de grêle,
22. Moa efa niditra tany amin' ny firaketana ny orampanala va ianao? Ary efa hitanao va ny firaketana ny havandra,
23. Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
23. Que je tiens en réserve pour les temps de détresse, Pour les jours de guerre et de bataille?
23. Izay voatahiriko ho amin' ny andro fahoriana, dia ny andro misy ady sy fanafihana?
24. By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
24. Par quel chemin la lumière se divise-t-elle, Et le vent d`orient se répand-il sur la terre?
24. Aiza moa no lalana izarazarana ny mazava sy ielezan' ny rivotra avy any atsinanana ho ety ambonin' ny tany?
25. Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
25. Qui a ouvert un passage à la pluie, Et tracé la route de l`éclair et du tonnerre,
25. Iza moa no nihady lalan-drano ho an' ny ranonorana mirotsaka be, sy lalan-kaleha ho an' ny helatry ny kotrokorana,
26. To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
26. "Pour que la pluie tombe sur une terre sans habitants, Sur un désert où il n`y a point d`hommes;"
26. Handatsaka ranonorana ambonin' ny tany izay tsy itoeran' olona, dia any amin' ny efitra tsy misy mponina,
27. To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
27. Pour qu`elle abreuve les lieux solitaires et arides, Et qu`elle fasse germer et sortir l`herbe?
27. Mba hahavonto ny efitra sy ny tany foana ary hampitsimoka ny ahitra vao mitsiry?
28. Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
28. La pluie a-t-elle un père? Qui fait naître les gouttes de la rosée?
28. Manan-dray va ny ranonorana? ary iza kosa no niteraka ny ranon' ando?
29. Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
29. Du sein de qui sort la glace, Et qui enfante le frimas du ciel,
29. Kibon' iza moa no niavian' ny ranomandry? Ary ny vongam-panala avy amin' ny lanitra, iza no niteraka azy?
30. The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
30. Pour que les eaux se cachent comme une pierre, Et que la surface de l`abîme soit enchaînée?
30. Tonga mafy toy ny vato ny rano, ary mitambatra ny fanambonin' ny lalina.
31. Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
31. Noues-tu les liens des Pléiades, Ou détaches-tu les cordages de l`Orion?
31. Mahavòna ny kofehin' ny Ikotokelimiadilaona va ianao, ary mahavaha ny Telonohorefy?
32. Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
32. Fais-tu paraître en leur temps les signes du zodiaque, Et conduis-tu la Grande Ourse avec ses petits?
32. Mahavoaka ny Mazarota amin' ny fotoany va ianao? Ary mahatondra ny Bera mbamin' ny zanany va ianao?
33. Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
33. Connais-tu les lois du ciel? Règles-tu son pouvoir sur la terre?
33. Fantatrao va ny lalàn' ny lanitra? Ary manendry ny fanapahan' ireny ny tany va ianao?
34. Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
34. Élèves-tu la voix jusqu`aux nuées, Pour appeler à toi des torrents d`eaux?
34. Mahasandratra ny feonao ho amin' ny rahona va ianao, mba hanafotra anao ny rano mandriaka?
35. Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
35. Lances-tu les éclairs? Partent-ils? Te disent-ils: Nous voici?
35. Mahay mandefa ny helatra va ianao, ka ho avy ireo hilaza aminao hoe: Indreto izahay?
36. Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
36. Qui a mis la sagesse dans le coeur, Ou qui a donné l`intelligence à l`esprit?
36. Iza no nanisy fahendrena ao anatin' ny olona? Ary iza no nanome fahalalana ao am-po?
37. Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
37. Qui peut avec sagesse compter les nuages, Et verser les outres des cieux,
37. Iza no afa-manisa ny rahona amim-pahendrena? Ary iza no mahatankina ny siny hoditry ny lanitra,
38. When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
38. Pour que la poussière se mette à ruisseler, Et que les mottes de terre se collent ensemble?
38. Hitambaran' ny vovoka ho dilatra sy hivonganany ho bainga?
39. Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
39. (39:1) Chasses-tu la proie pour la lionne, Et apaises-tu la faim des lionceaux,
39. Mahay mihaza toha ho an' ny liom-bavy va ianao, sy mahafaka ny fahalianan' ny liona tanora,
40. When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
40. (39:2) Quand ils sont couchés dans leur tanière, Quand ils sont en embuscade dans leur repaire?
40. Raha mamitsaka ao amin' ny fitoerany izy ary manotrika ao amin' ny fiereny?
41. Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
41. (39:3) Qui prépare au corbeau sa pâture, Quand ses petits crient vers Dieu, Quand ils sont errants et affamés?
41. Iza moa no manome hanina ny goaika, raha mitaraina amin' Andriamanitra ny zanany, ka mirenireny tsy mahita hanina?
