1. Elihu spake moreover, and said,

2. Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?
2. Imagines-tu avoir raison, Penses-tu te justifier devant Dieu,
2. Heverinao fa marina ny nanaovanao hoe: Ny fahamarinako mihoatra noho ny an' Andriamanitra?
3. For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
3. Quand tu dis: Que me sert-il, Que me revient-il de ne pas pécher?
3. Fa hoy ianao: Inona no soa ho anao? ary inona no tombontsoa ho azoko, raha diovina amin' ny fahotako aho?
4. I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
4. C`est à toi que je vais répondre, Et à tes amis en même temps.
4. Izaho no hiteny hamaly anao mbamin' ny namanao.
5. Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
5. Considère les cieux, et regarde! Vois les nuées, comme elles sont au-dessus de toi!
5. "Jereo àry ny lanitra ka izahao; ary tsinjovy ny rahona izay avo kokoa noho ianao."
6. If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
6. Si tu pèches, quel tort lui causes-tu? Et quand tes péchés se multiplient, que lui fais-tu?
6. Raha manota ianao, moa mahefa inona aminy? Ary raha maro ny fahotanao, mampaninona Azy moa izany?
7. If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?
7. Si tu es juste, que lui donnes-tu? Que reçoit-il de ta main?
7. Raha marina ianao, dia inona no omenao Azy? na inona no raisiny avy amin' ny tananao?
8. Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.
8. Ta méchanceté ne peut nuire qu`à ton semblable, Ta justice n`est utile qu`au fils de l`homme.
8. "Ny faharatsianao dia mety mandratra olona tahaka anao; ary ny fahamarinanao dia mety mahasoa ny zanak' olombelona."
9. By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
9. "On crie contre la multitude des oppresseurs, On se plaint de la violence d`un grand nombre;"
9. "Noho ny haben' ny fampahoriana no itarainan' ny ampahoriana; minananana izy noho ny sandrin' ny mahery."
10. But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
10. Mais nul ne dit: Où est Dieu, mon créateur, Qui inspire des chants d`allégresse pendant la nuit,

11. Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
11. Qui nous instruit plus que les bêtes de la terre, Et nous donne l`intelligence plus qu`aux oiseaux du ciel?
11. Izay mampianatra antsika mihoatra noho ny biby ambonin' ny tany, ary manome fahendrena antsika mihoatra noho ny voro-manidina eny amin' ny lanitra?
12. There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
12. On a beau crier alors, Dieu ne répond pas, A cause de l`orgueil des méchants.
12. Mitaraina ireo, fa tsy misy mamaly noho ny fireharehan' ny ratsy fanahy.
13. Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
13. C`est en vain que l`on crie, Dieu n`écoute pas, Le Tout Puissant n`y a point égard.
13. Tsy hihaino zava-poana tokoa Andriamanitra ary ny Tsitoha tsy handinika izany.
14. Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.
14. Bien que tu dises que tu ne le vois pas, Ta cause est devant lui: attends-le!

15. But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:
15. Mais, parce que sa colère ne sévit point encore, Ce n`est pas à dire qu`il ait peu souci du crime.
15. "Nefa ankehitriny, satria tsy mbola mihatra izany, dia namangy tamin' ny fahatezerany Izy; nefa tsy fantany hatramin' ny farany indrindra izany."
16. Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
16. Ainsi Job ouvre vainement la bouche, Il multiplie les paroles sans intelligence.
