1. Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

2. Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

3. For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
3. Car l`oreille discerne les paroles, Comme le palais savoure les aliments.
3. Fa ny sofina no mamantatra ny teny, ary ny vava no manandrana ny hanina.
4. Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.
4. Choisissons ce qui est juste, Voyons entre nous ce qui est bon.
4. Koa aoka izay rariny no hodinihintsika, ary aoka hiara-mamantatra izay tsara isika.
5. For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
5. "Job dit: Je suis innocent, Et Dieu me refuse justice;"
5. "Fa Joba efa nanao hoe: Marina aho, saingy efa nesorin' Andriamanitra tamiko ny rariny;"
6. Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.
6. "J`ai raison, et je passe pour menteur; Ma plaie est douloureuse, et je suis sans péché."
6. Handainga hanohitra ny fahamarinako va aho? Tsy mety sitrana ny feriko nefa tsy misy fandikan-dalàna nataoko.
7. What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?
7. Y a-t-il un homme semblable à Job, Buvant la raillerie comme l`eau,
7. Aiza moa no misy olona tahaka an' i Joba, izay misotro famingavingana toy ny fisotro rano?
8. Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.
8. Marchant en société de ceux qui font le mal, Cheminant de pair avec les impies?
8. Ary miara-dalana amin' ny mpanao heloka sy miara-mandeha amin' ny ratsy fanahy.
9. For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
9. Car il a dit: Il est inutile à l`homme De mettre son plaisir en Dieu.
9. Fa hoy izy: Tsy mahasoa ny olona ny hiravoravoany amin' Andriamanitra.
10. Therefore hearken unto me ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
10. Écoutez-moi donc, hommes de sens! Loin de Dieu l`injustice, Loin du Tout Puissant l`iniquité!
10. "Koa amin' izany mihainoa ahy, ianareo manam-pahalalana: lavitra an' Andriamanitra ny hanao ratsy; ary lavitra ny Tsitoha ny hanao meloka."
11. For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
11. Il rend à l`homme selon ses oeuvres, Il rétribue chacun selon ses voies.
11. Fa ny asan' ny olona ihany no hampanodiavina azy, ka mamaly ny olona rehetra araka ny lalany avy Izy.
12. Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
12. "Non certes, Dieu ne commet pas l`iniquité; Le Tout Puissant ne viole pas la justice."
12. Eny tokoa, Andriamanitra tsy hanao ratsy mihitsy, ary ny Tsitoha tsy mba hamadika ny rariny.
13. Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
13. Qui l`a chargé de gouverner la terre? Qui a confié l`univers à ses soins?
13. Iza moa no nanendry Azy ho Mpiadidy ny tany? ary iza no nandahatra izao tontolo izao?
14. If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
14. S`il ne pensait qu`à lui-même, S`il retirait à lui son esprit et son souffle,

15. All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

16. If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

16. Raha manam-pahalalana ianao dia mandrenesa izao, ka mihainoa ny teniko:
17. Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?
17. Un ennemi de la justice régnerait-il? Et condamneras-tu le juste, le puissant,
17. Moa mahay mifehy va izay tsy tia rariny? Ary Ilay marina sady mahery va no hohelohinao?
18. Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
18. Qui proclame la méchanceté des rois Et l`iniquité des princes,
18. Mety va ny miteny amin' ny mpanjaka hoe olon-dratsy ianao? ary amin' ny zanak' andriana hoe: Tsy araka an' Andriamanitra ianao?
19. How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
19. Qui n`a point égard à l`apparence des grands Et ne distingue pas le riche du pauvre, Parce que tous sont l`ouvrage de ses mains?
19. Koa tsy latsak' izany amin' Ilay tsy mizaha ny tavan' ny lehibe, ary tsy manaja ny manankarena mihoatra noho ny mahantra, satria samy asan' ny tanany avokoa izy rehetra.
20. In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
20. "En un instant, ils perdent la vie; Au milieu de la nuit, un peuple chancelle et périt; Le puissant disparaît, sans la main d`aucun homme."

21. For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
21. Car Dieu voit la conduite de tous, Il a les regards sur les pas de chacun.

22. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
22. Il n`y a ni ténèbres ni ombre de la mort, Où puissent se cacher ceux qui commettent l`iniquité.
22. Tsy misy haizina na aloky ny fahafatesana, izay hieren' ny mpanao heloka.
23. For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.
23. "Dieu n`a pas besoin d`observer longtemps, Pour qu`un homme entre en jugement avec lui;"
23. Tsy hampahory olona tsy an-drariny Izy, izay tonga hotsaraina eo anatrehany.
24. He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.
24. "Il brise les grands sans information, Et il met d`autres à leur place;"
24. Hanorotoro ny olo-mahery tsy hita isa Izy, ka manangana olon-kafa hisolo azy.
25. Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
25. "Car il connaît leurs oeuvres. Ils les renverse de nuit, et ils sont écrasés;"
25. Koa dia fantany ny asan' ireo, ary mamono azy amin' ny alina Izy, mba handringanana azy.
26. He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
26. Il les frappe comme des impies, A la face de tous les regards.
26. Mamely azy toy ny famely ny ratsy fanahy eo imason' ny hafa Izy.
27. Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:
27. En se détournant de lui, En abandonnant toutes ses voies,
27. "Noho ny nialan' ireo tamin' Andriamanitra, ka tsy nitandremany ny lalany akory;"
28. So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.
28. Ils ont fait monter à Dieu le cri du pauvre, Ils l`ont rendu attentif aux cris des malheureux.
28. Dia ny mba hahatonga ny fitarainan' ny mahantra eo anatrehany ka mihaino ny fitarainan' ny ory Izy.
29. When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
29. S`il donne le repos, qui répandra le trouble? S`il cache sa face, qui pourra le voir? Il traite à l`égal soit une nation, soit un homme,
29. Rehefa manome fitsaharana izy, iza no mahay mampahory? ary raha manafin-tava Izy, iza no mahajery Azy? na amin' ny firenena izany na amin' olona tsirairay,
30. That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
30. Afin que l`impie ne domine plus, Et qu`il ne soit plus un piège pour le peuple.
30. Mba tsy hanjakan' ny mpihatsaravelatsihy fandrao ho voafandrika ny vahoaka.
31. Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:
31. "Car a-t-il jamais dit à Dieu: J`ai été châtié, je ne pécherai plus;"
31. Mety tokoa ny hitenenana amin' Andriamanitra hoe: Efa nizaka famaizana aho, ka tsy hanao ratsy intsony.
32. That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
32. "Montre-moi ce que je ne vois pas; Si j`ai commis des injustices, je n`en commettrai plus?"
32. "Izay tsy hitako mba ampianaro ahy; raha nanao heloka aho, dia tsy hanao intsony."
33. Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
33. "Est-ce d`après toi que Dieu rendra la justice? C`est toi qui rejettes, qui choisis, mais non pas moi; Ce que tu sais, dis-le donc!"
33. "Moa ho araka ny hevitrao va izany? Izy no hamaly izany, na mandà ianao na manaiky fa tsy izaho; koa izay fantatrao no ambarao."
34. Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
34. Les hommes de sens seront de mon avis, Le sage qui m`écoute pensera comme moi.
34. Aoka ny olona manam-pahalalana hilaza amiko, ary aoka ny olon-kendry hihaino ahy.
35. Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.
35. Job parle sans intelligence, Et ses discours manquent de raison.
35. Niteny tsy amim-pahalalana i Joba, ary ny teniny tsy amim-pahendrena.
36. My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.
36. Qu`il continue donc à être éprouvé, Puisqu`il répond comme font les méchants!
36. Enga anie ka hozahan-toetra mandrakariva Joba noho ny famaliana ataony toy ny fanaon' ny ratsy fanahy!
37. For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
37. "Car il ajoute à ses fautes de nouveaux péchés; Il bat des mains au milieu de nous, Il multiplie ses paroles contre Dieu."
37. "Fa ampiany fiodinana ny fahotany; Miteha-tanana eto amintsika izy ka manao teny maro hoenti-miady amin' Andriamanitra."
