A Song of Praise
1. In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

2. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.
2. Ouvrez les portes, Laissez entrer la nation juste et fidèle.
2. Vohay ny vavahady mba hidiran' ny firenena marina, izay mitana ny fahamarinana.
3. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
3. A celui qui est ferme dans ses sentiments Tu assures la paix, la paix, Parce qu`il se confie en toi.

4. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
4. Confiez-vous en l`Éternel à perpétuité, Car l`Éternel, l`Éternel est le rocher des siècles.

5. For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.
5. "Il a renversé ceux qui habitaient les hauteurs, Il a abaissé la ville superbe; Il l`a abaissée jusqu`à terre, Il lui a fait toucher la poussière."

6. The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.
6. Elle est foulée aux pieds, Aux pieds des pauvres, sous les pas des misérables.

7. The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.
7. "Le chemin du juste est la droiture; Toi qui es juste, tu aplanis le sentier du juste."

8. Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
8. "Aussi nous t`attendons, ô Éternel! sur la voie de tes jugements; Notre âme soupire après ton nom et après ton souvenir."

9. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
9. "Mon âme te désire pendant la nuit, Et mon esprit te cherche au dedans de moi; Car, lorsque tes jugements s`exercent sur la terre, Les habitants du monde apprennent la justice."
9. "Amin' ny fanahiko no aniriko Anao nony alina; eny, ny saiko ato anatiko no itadiavako anao fatratra; fa raha mamely ny tany ny fitsaranao dia mianatra fahamarinana ny mponina amin' izao tontolo izao."
10. Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
10. Si l`on fait grâce au méchant, il n`apprend pas la justice, Il se livre au mal dans le pays de la droiture, Et il n`a point égard à la majesté de Dieu.
10. "Na dia asiana soa aza ny ratsy fanahy, dia tsy mety mianatra fahamarinana izy; eny, na dia ao amin' ny tanin' ny fahitsiana aza izy, dia mbola manao heloka ihany ka tsy mety mijery ny fiandrianan' i Jehovah."
11. LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.
11. "Éternel, ta main est puissante: Ils ne l`aperçoivent pas. Ils verront ton zèle pour le peuple, et ils en seront confus; Le feu consumera tes ennemis."
11. "Jehovah ô, avo ny tananao, nefa tsy jeren' ireo; tsy maintsy hojereny ihany anefa ny fahasaro-piaronao amin' ny olonao, ka ho menatra izy; eny, ny afon' ny fahavalonao no handevona azy."
12. LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.
12. "Éternel, tu nous donnes la paix; Car tout ce que nous faisons, C`est toi qui l`accomplis pour nous."
12. "Jehovah ô, manorina fiadanana ho anay Ianao; fa ny asanao rehetra dia tanterahinao ho anay."
13. O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
13. "Éternel, notre Dieu, d`autres maîtres que toi ont dominé sur nous; Mais c`est grâce à toi seul que nous invoquons ton nom."
13. "Jehovah Andriamanitray ô, tsy Ianao ihany no efa nampanompo anay, fa tompo hafa koa; nefa Ianao irery ihany no ahazoanay mankalaza ny anaranao."
14. They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.
14. "Ceux qui sont morts ne revivront pas, Des ombres ne se relèveront pas; Car tu les as châtiés, tu les as anéantis, Et tu en as détruit tout souvenir."

15. Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.
15. "Multiplie le peuple, ô Éternel! Multiplie le peuple, manifeste ta gloire; Recule toutes les limites du pays."
15. "Nampitombo ny firenena Ianao, Jehovah ô, eny, nampitombo ny firenena Ianao ka nahazo voninahitra ho Anao; nitarinao lavitra hatrany amin' ny faran' ny tany rehetra izany."
16. LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.
16. "Éternel, ils t`ont cherché, quand ils étaient dans la détresse; Ils se sont répandus en prières, quand tu les as châtiés."
16. Jehovah ô, nony azom-pahoriana izy, dia nitady Anao, nony niharan' ny famaizanao izy dia nampipololotra vavaka.
17. Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.
17. Comme une femme enceinte, sur le point d`accoucher, Se tord et crie au milieu de ses douleurs, Ainsi avons-nous été, loin de ta face, ô Éternel!
17. Tahaka izay bevohoka efa madiva hiteraka ka miolanolana sy mitaraina noho ny faharariany, dia tahaka izany izahay teo imasonao, Jehovah ô.
18. We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
18. Nous avons conçu, nous avons éprouvé des douleurs, Et, quand nous enfantons, ce n`est que du vent: Le pays n`est pas sauvé, Et ses habitants ne sont pas nés.
18. Efa bevohoka izahay, efa nihetsi-jaza izahay, efa tahaka ny nitera-drivotra izahay, tsy nahavita famonjena ho an' ny tany izahay ka tsy niteraka ny mponina amin' izao tontolo izao.
19. Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
19. Que tes morts revivent! Que mes cadavres se relèvent! -Réveillez-vous et tressaillez de joie, habitants de la poussière! Car ta rosée est une rosée vivifiante, Et la terre redonnera le jour aux ombres.
19. "Ho velona indray ny olonao izay efa maty, ka hiara-mitsangana amin' ny fatin' ny oloko ireo; koa mifohaza sy mihobia, ianareo izay mandry ao amin' ny vovoka; fa ny andonao dia tahaka ny ando amin' ny zava-maitso, ary ny tany hamoaka ny maty."
20. Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
20. "Va, mon peuple, entre dans ta chambre, Et ferme la porte derrière toi; Cache-toi pour quelques instants, Jusqu`à ce que la colère soit passée."
20. Mandehana, ry oloko, midira ao amin' ny efitranonao, ary mirindrìna varavarana ianao, ka miere kely indray mipì-maso monja mandra-pahalasan' ny fahatezerana.
21. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
21. "Car voici, l`Éternel sort de sa demeure, Pour punir les crimes des habitants de la terre; Et la terre mettra le sang à nu, Elle ne couvrira plus les meurtres."
21. "Fa, indro, Jehovah mivoaka avy amin' ny fitoerany hamely ny mponina amin' ny tany noho ny helony; ary ny tany koa hampiseho ny rany ka tsy hanafina intsony izay novonoina teo aminy."
