1. Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
2. "(85:3) Tu as pardonné l`iniquité de ton peuple, Tu as couvert tous ses péchés; Pause."
2. Navelanao ny heloky ny olonao, efa nosaronanao ny fahotany rehetra. [Sela.]
3. Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.
3. (85:4) Tu as retiré toute ta fureur, Tu es revenu de l`ardeur de ta colère.
3. "Efa nampijanona ny fahatezeranao rehetra Ianao ary niala tamin' ny fahatezeranao mirehitra;"
4. Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
4. (85:5) Rétablis-nous, Dieu de notre salut! Cesse ton indignation contre nous!
4. Avereno izahay, ry Andriamanitry ny famonjena anay ô, ary ampitsaharo ny fahatezeranao aminay.
5. Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
5. (85:6) T`irriteras-tu contre nous à jamais? Prolongeras-tu ta colère éternellement?
5. Ho tezitra aminay mandrakizay va Ianao? hampaharetinao hahatratra ny taranaka rehetra va ny fahatezeranao?
6. Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
6. (85:7) Ne nous rendras-tu pas à la vie, Afin que ton peuple se réjouisse en toi?
6. Tsy hovelominao indray va izahay, mba hifalian' ny olonao aminao?
7. Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.
7. (85:8) Éternel! fais-nous voir ta bonté, Et accorde-nous ton salut!
7. Asehoy anay ny famindramponao, Jehovah ô, ka omeo anay ny famonjenao.
8. I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
8. "(85:9) J`écouterai ce que dit Dieu, l`Éternel; Car il parle de paix à son peuple et à ses fidèles, Pourvu qu`ils ne retombent pas dans la folie."
8. "Hihaino izay holazain' i Jehovah Andriamanitro aho; fa hilaza fiadanana amin' ny olony Izy sy amin' ny olo-masiny; fa aoka tsy hiverina ho amin' ny fahadalana indray ireny."
9. Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.
9. (85:10) Oui, son salut est près de ceux qui le craignent, Afin que la gloire habite dans notre pays.
9. Eny tokoa, akaikin' izay matahotra Azy ny famonjeny, mba hitoeran' ny voninahitra eo amin' ny tanintsika.
10. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
10. "(85:11) La bonté et la fidélité se rencontrent, La justice et la paix s`embrassent;"
10. "Mihaona ny famindrampo sy ny fahamarinana; mifanoroka ny fahamarinana sy ny fihavanana."
11. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
11. (85:12) La fidélité germe de la terre, Et la justice regarde du haut des cieux.
11. Hitsimoka amin' ny tany ny fahamarinana ary hitsinjo avy any an-danitra ny fahamarinana.
12. Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
12. (85:13) L`Éternel aussi accordera le bonheur, Et notre terre donnera ses fruits.
12. "Eny, hanome izay tsara Jehovah; ary hahavoka-javatra ny tanintsika."
13. Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
13. (85:14) La justice marchera devant lui, Et imprimera ses pas sur le chemin.
13. "Ny fahamarinana no hialoha Azy; sady hametraka antsika hanaraka ny diany eny an-dalana."
