1. And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
1. Jésus dit aussi à ses disciples: Un homme riche avait un économe, qui lui fut dénoncé comme dissipant ses biens.
1. "Ary hoy koa Izy tamin' ny mpianany: Nisy olona mpanankarena iray nanana mpitandrina ny fananany; ary izy io dia nampangain' olona taminy fa mandany ny fananany."
2. And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
2. Il l`appela, et lui dit: Qu`est-ce que j`entends dire de toi? Rends compte de ton administration, car tu ne pourras plus administrer mes biens.
2. Ary niantso azy izy ka nanao taminy hoe: Ahoana izao fandrenesako anao izao? Mamoaha ny amin' ny fitandremanao ny fananako, fa tsy mahazo mitandrina ny fananako intsony ianao.
3. Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
3. L`économe dit en lui-même: Que ferai-je, puisque mon maître m`ôte l`administration de ses biens? Travailler à la terre? je ne le puis. Mendier? j`en ai honte.
3. Ary ilay mpitandrina ny fananana nanao anakampo hoe: Inona re no hataoko, fa esorin' ny tompoko amin' ny fitandremana ny fananany aho? Ny miasa tany tsy tratry ny aiko, ny mangataka mahamenatra ahy.
4. I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
4. Je sais ce que je ferai, pour qu`il y ait des gens qui me reçoivent dans leurs maisons quand je serai destitué de mon emploi.
4. Fantatro izay hataoko, mba handraisan' ny olona ahy ho ao an-tranony, rehefa voaesotra amin' ny fitandremana ny fananana aho.
5. So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
5. Et, faisant venir chacun des débiteurs de son maître, il dit au premier: Combien dois-tu à mon maître?
5. Dia niantso izay rehetra nitrosa tamin' ny tompony izy hankao aminy ka nanao tamin' ny voalohany hoe: Ohatrinona no trosan' ny tompoko aminao?
6. And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
6. Cent mesures d`huile, répondit-il. Et il lui dit: Prends ton billet, assieds-toi vite, et écris cinquante.
6. Ary hoy io: Diloilo injaton' ny famarana. Dia hoy izy taminy: Inty, raiso ny taratasinao, ary mipetraha faingana, ka dimampolo no soraty.
7. Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
7. Il dit ensuite à un autre: Et toi, combien dois-tu? Cent mesures de blé, répondit-il. Et il lui dit: Prends ton billet, et écris quatre-vingts.
7. Dia hoy izy tamin' ny anankiray koa: Ohatrinona kosa no trosa aminao? Ary hoy izy: Vary tritika injaton' ny famarana.Dia hoy izy taminy koa: Inty, raiso ny taratasinao, ka valopolo no soraty.
8. And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
8. Le maître loua l`économe infidèle de ce qu`il avait agi prudemment. Car les enfants de ce siècle sont plus prudents à l`égard de leurs semblables que ne le sont les enfants de lumière.
8. Ary ny tompony nidera ilay mpitandrina tsy marina, satria nanan-tsaina izy, fa ny zanak' izao tontolo izao amin' ny taranaka indray miaina aminy dia manan-tsaina kokoa ny amin'izany, noho ny zanaky ny mazava.
9. And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
9. Et moi, je vous dis: Faites-vous des amis avec les richesses injustes, pour qu`ils vous reçoivent dans les tabernacles éternels, quand elles viendront à vous manquer.
9. Ary hoy Aho aminareo: Aoka ny mamôna tsy marina hoentinareo mahazo sakaiza, mba horaisin' ireo ho any amin' ny fonenana mandrakizay ianareo, rehefa lany izany.
10. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
10. Celui qui est fidèle dans les moindres choses l`est aussi dans les grandes, et celui qui est injuste dans les moindres choses l`est aussi dans les grandes.
10. "Ary izay mahatoky amin' ny kely indrindra dia mahatoky koa amin' ny be; ary izay tsy marina amin' ny kely indrindra dia tsy marina koa amin' ny be."
11. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
11. Si donc vous n`avez pas été fidèle dans les richesses injustes, qui vous confiera les véritables?
11. Koa raha tsy mahatoky amin' ny mamôna tsy marina ianareo, iza no hatoky anareo ny amin' ny tena harena?
12. And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
12. Et si vous n`avez pas été fidèles dans ce qui est à autrui, qui vous donnera ce qui est à vous?
12. Ary raha tsy mahatoky amin' izay an' olona ianareo, iza no hanome anareo izay tena anareo?
13. No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
13. "Nul serviteur ne peut servir deux maîtres. Car, ou il haïra l`un et aimera l`autre; ou il s`attachera à l`un et méprisera l`autre. Vous ne pouvez servir Dieu et Mamon."
13. "Tsy misy mpanompo mahay manompo tompo roa; fa ny anankiray ho halany, ary ny anankiray ho tiany; na ny anankiray hombany, ary ny anankiray hohamavoiny. Tsy mahay manompo an' Andriamanitra sy mamôna ianareo."
14. And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
14. Les pharisiens, qui étaient avares, écoutaient aussi tout cela, et ils se moquaient de lui.
14. Ary ny Fariseo koa, izay fatra-pitia vola, nandre izany zavatra rehetra izany, dia naneso an' i Jesosy.
15. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
15. "Jésus leur dit: Vous, vous cherchez à paraître justes devant les hommes, mais Dieu connaît vos coeurs; car ce qui est élevé parmi les hommes est une abomination devant Dieu."
15. "Ary hoy Jesosy taminy: Ianareo dia mpanamarin-tena eo anatrehan' ny olona, nefa Andriamanitra mahalala ny fonareo; fa izay zavatra heverin' ny olona ho ambony dia fahavetavetana eo anatrehan' Andriamanitra."
16. The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
16. "La loi et les prophètes ont subsisté jusqu`à Jean; depuis lors, le royaume de Dieu est annoncé, et chacun use de violence pour y entrer."
16. "Ny lalàna sy ny mpaminany dia hatramin' i Jaona; ary hatramin' izany fotoana izany no efa nitoriana ny filazantsaran' ny fanjakan' Andriamanitra, ary misesika izay rehetra miditra eo."
17. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
17. Il est plus facile que le ciel et la terre passent, qu`il ne l`est qu`un seul trait de lettre de la loi vienne à tomber.
17. Fa ho moramora kokoa ny hahafoanan' ny lanitra sy ny tany noho ny hahafoanan' ny tendron-tsoratra iray monja aza amin' ny lalàna.
18. Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
18. Quiconque répudie sa femme et en épouse une autre commet un adultère, et quiconque épouse une femme répudiée par son mari commet un adultère.
18. "Izay rehetra misao-bady ka mampakatra ny hafa dia mijangajanga; ary izay mampakatra vehivavy voasaotran' ny vadiny dia mijangajanga koa."
19. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
19. Il y avait un homme riche, qui était vêtu de pourpre et de fin lin, et qui chaque jour menait joyeuse et brillante vie.
19. Nisy lehilahy mpanankarena anankiray niakanjo volomparasy sy rongony fotsy madinika sady nanaram-po fatratra isan' andro tamin' ny fahafinaretana.
20. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
20. Un pauvre, nommé Lazare, était couché à sa porte, couvert d`ulcères,
20. Ary nisy mpangataka atao hoe Lazarosy, ferena, napetraka teo am-bavahadiny,
21. And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
21. "et désireux de se rassasier des miettes qui tombaient de la table du riche; et même les chiens venaient encore lécher ses ulcères."
21. Ary naniry mba hihinana izay latsaka avy tamin' ny latabatr' ilay mpanankarena izy, fa ny alika kosa no tonga ka nilelaka ny feriny.
22. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
22. Le pauvre mourut, et il fut porté par les anges dans le sein d`Abraham. Le riche mourut aussi, et il fut enseveli.
22. "Ary izao no niseho, maty ilay mpangataka, dia nentin' ny anjely ho eny an-tratran' i Abrahama; ary maty koa ilay mpanankarena dia nalevina."
23. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
23. "Dans le séjour des morts, il leva les yeux; et, tandis qu`il était en proie aux tourments, il vit de loin Abraham, et Lazare dans son sein."
23. Ary raha nijaly tao amin' ny helo izy ka niandrandra, dia nahita an' i Abrahama teny lavitra eny sy Lazarosy teo an-tratrany.
24. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
24. "Il s`écria: Père Abraham, aie pitié de moi, et envoie Lazare, pour qu`il trempe le bout de son doigt dans l`eau et me rafraîchisse la langue; car je souffre cruellement dans cette flamme."
24. Ary niantso izy ka nanao hoe: ry Abrahama raiko ô, mamindrà fo amiko, ka iraho Lazarosy mba hanoboka ny tendron' ny rantsan-tanany amin' ny rano mba hampangatsiaka ny lelako fa fadiranovana aho eto anatin' ity lelafo ity.
25. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
25. "Abraham répondit: Mon enfant, souviens-toi que tu as reçu tes biens pendant ta vie, et que Lazare a eu les maux pendant la sienne; maintenant il est ici consolé, et toi, tu souffres."
25. "Fa hoy Abrahama: Anaka, tsarovy fa ianao efa nahazo ny zava-tsoanao tamin' ny andro niainanao, ary Lazarosy kosa ny zava-dratsy; fa ankehitriny izy no ampifalina aty, ary ianao kosa no fadiranovana."
26. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
26. D`ailleurs, il y a entre nous et vous un grand abîme, afin que ceux qui voudraient passer d`ici vers vous, ou de là vers nous, ne puissent le faire.
26. Ary mihoatra noho izany rehetra izany, misy tevana makadiry ajadona ao anelanelantsika, mba tsy ho afa-mita hankeny aminareo izay te-hiala ety, ary tsy ho afa-mita hankety aminay izay eny.
27. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
27. "Le riche dit: Je te prie donc, père Abraham, d`envoyer Lazare dans la maison de mon père; car j`ai cinq frères."
27. Dia hoy izy: Mangataka aminao àry aho, ry raiko: mba iraho Lazarosy hankany amin' ny tranon' ny raiko:
28. For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
28. C`est pour qu`il leur atteste ces choses, afin qu`ils ne viennent pas aussi dans ce lieu de tourments.
28. Fa manana rahalahy dimy aho, mba hilaza tsara aminy, fandrao mba ho tonga aty amin' ity toeram-pijaliana ity koa izy ireo.
29. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
29. "Abraham répondit: Ils ont Moïse et les prophètes; qu`ils les écoutent."
29. "Fa hoy Abrahama taminy: Manana an' i Mosesy sy ny mpaminany izy ireo; aoka hihaino ireo izy."
30. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
30. Et il dit: Non, père Abraham, mais si quelqu`un des morts va vers eux, ils se repentiront.
30. "Fa hoy kosa izy: Tsia, ry Abrahama, raiko; fa raha misy miala amin' ny maty hankany aminy, dia hibebaka izy."
31. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
31. Et Abraham lui dit: S`ils n`écoutent pas Moïse et les prophètes, ils ne se laisseront pas persuader quand même quelqu`un des morts ressusciterait.
31. Fa hoy Abrahama taminy: Raha tsy mihaino an' i Mosesy sy ny mpaminany izy, dia tsy hety hino izy, na dia misy mitsangana amin' ny maty aza.
