Elihu
1. So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
1. Ces trois hommes cessèrent de répondre à Job, parce qu`il se regardait comme juste.
1. Ary nitsahatra tsy namaly intsony izy telo lahy ireo, satria nanamarin-tena Joba.
2. Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
2. Alors s`enflamma de colère Élihu, fils de Barakeel de Buz, de la famille de Ram. Sa colère s`enflamma contre Job, parce qu`il se disait juste devant Dieu.
2. "Ary nirehitra kosa ny fahatezeran' i Eliho, zanak' i Barakela, Bozita avy amin' ny fokon' i Rama; tamin' i Joba no nirehetan' ny fahatezerany, satria nanao ny tenany ho marina noho Andriamanitra izy."
3. Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
3. Et sa colère s`enflamma contre ses trois amis, parce qu`ils ne trouvaient rien à répondre et que néanmoins ils condamnaient Job.
3. Ary tamin' ny sakaizany telo lahy koa no nirehetan' ny fahatezerany, satria tsy nahita teny havaliny izy ireo, kanefa nanameloka an' i Joba.
4. Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.
4. Comme ils étaient plus âgés que lui, Élihu avait attendu jusqu`à ce moment pour parler à Job.
4. Ary Eliho dia niandry mandra-pitenin' i Joba, satria ireo dia ela niainana kokoa noho izy.
5. When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.
5. Mais, voyant qu`il n`y avait plus de réponse dans la bouche de ces trois hommes, Élihu s`enflamma de colère.
5. Ary rehefa hitan' i Eliho fa tsy nanan-kavaly izy telo lahy ireo dia nirehitra ny fahatezerany,
6. And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
6. "Et Élihu, fils de Barakeel de Buz, prit la parole et dit: Je suis jeune, et vous êtes des vieillards; C`est pourquoi j`ai craint, j`ai redouté De vous faire connaître mon sentiment."
6. Ka dia niteny Eliho, zanak' i Barakela, Bozita ka nanao hoe: Mbola tanora aho fa ianareo no antitra kokoa, ka dia natahotra aho ary tsy sahy nampiseho anareo ny hevitro.
7. I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
7. Je disais en moi-même: Les jours parleront, Le grand nombre des années enseignera la sagesse.
7. Hoy aho: Ny andro no tokony hiteny ary ny hamaroan' ny taona no tokony hampianatra fahendrena.
8. But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
8. "Mais en réalité, dans l`homme, c`est l`esprit, Le souffle du Tout Puissant, qui donne l`intelligence;"
8. Kanefa misy fanahy ao anatin' ny zanak' olombelona ary ny aingam-panahin' ny Tsitoha no manome azy fahalalana.
9. Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
9. Ce n`est pas l`âge qui procure la sagesse, Ce n`est pas la vieillesse qui rend capable de juger.
9. "Tsy dia hendry mandrakariva akory ny olo-malaza; na mahalala ny rariny ny be taona."
10. Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.
10. Voilà pourquoi je dis: Écoute! Moi aussi, j`exposerai ma pensée.
10. Ary noho izany dia hoy aho: Henoy aho, dia hambarako koa ny hevitro.
11. Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
11. J`ai attendu la fin de vos discours, J`ai suivi vos raisonnements, Votre examen des paroles de Job.
11. Indro, niandry ny teninareo aho, ary nanongilana ny sofiko tamin' ny hevitrareo mandra-pandinikareo izay holazaina.
12. Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
12. "Je vous ai donné toute mon attention; Et voici, aucun de vous ne l`a convaincu, Aucun n`a réfuté ses paroles."
12. "Eny, nihaino dia nihaino anareo aho, ary indro, tsy nisy naharesy lahatra an' i Joba ianareo, na nahavaly ny teniny akory;"
13. Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
13. "Ne dites pas cependant: En lui nous avons trouvé la sagesse; C`est Dieu qui peut le confondre, ce n`est pas un homme!"
13. "Fandrao ianareo hanao hoe: Hitanay ny fahendrena; Andriamanitra no mandavo azy fa tsy olona."
14. Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.
14. Il ne s`est pas adressé directement à moi: Aussi lui répondrai-je tout autrement que vous.
14. "Tsy nandaha-teny hamely ahy anefa izy; ary tsy araka ny teninareo no hamaliako azy."
15. They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.
15. Ils ont peur, ils ne répondent plus! Ils ont la parole coupée!
15. "Very hevitra tery izy ireo, ka tsy namaly intsony; efa nitsaha-niteny izy ireo."
16. When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)
16. J`ai attendu qu`ils eussent fini leurs discours, Qu`ils s`arrêtassent et ne sussent que répliquer.
16. Rehefa niandry aho (ka tsy niteny izy ireo, fa nangina, sady tsy namaly intsony),
17. I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.
17. A mon tour, je veux répondre aussi, Je veux dire aussi ce que je pense.
17. Dia hoy aho: Hamaly kosa amin' ny anjarako aho, haneho ny hevitro koa aho.
18. For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.
18. "Car je suis plein de paroles, L`esprit me presse au dedans de moi;"
18. "Fa feno teny ny foko; manery ahy ny fanahy ato anatiko."
19. Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.
19. Mon intérieur est comme un vin qui n`a pas d`issue, Comme des outres neuves qui vont éclater.
19. Endrey! ny ato anatiko dia efa tahaka ny divay izay tsy misy hiainana, efa ho triatra tahaka ny siny hoditra vaovao izy.
20. I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.
20. Je parlerai pour respirer à l`aise, J`ouvrirai mes lèvres et je répondrai.
20. "Hiteny aho mba hisy hiainako tsara; hiloa-bava aho ka hamaly."
21. Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.
21. "Je n`aurai point égard à l`apparence, Et je ne flatterai personne;"
21. Masìna ianareo, aoka tsy hizaha tavan' olona aho, ary aoka tsy handrobo olona.
22. For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
22. Car je ne sais pas flatter: Mon créateur m`enlèverait bien vite.
22. "Fa tsy mahay manao teny mandrobo aho; fa raha izany dia alain' ny mpanao ahy faingana aho."
