The Song of Moses and Miriam
1. Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
1. "Alors Moïse et les enfants d`Israël chantèrent ce cantique à l`Éternel. Ils dirent: Je chanterai à l`Éternel, car il a fait éclater sa gloire; Il a précipité dans la mer le cheval et son cavalier."
1. "Ary nihira izao fihirana izao ho an' i Jehovah i Mosesy sy ny Zanak' Isiraely ka nanambara hoe: Hihira ho an' i Jehovah aho, fa nandresy tamim-boninahitra Izy; ny soavaly sy ny mpitaingina azy dia efa nariany tao amin' ny ranomasina."
2. The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
2. "L`Éternel est ma force et le sujet de mes louanges; C`est lui qui m`a sauvé. Il est mon Dieu: je le célébrerai; Il est le Dieu de mon père: je l`exalterai."

3. The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
3. "L`Éternel est un vaillant guerrier; L`Éternel est son nom."

4. Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
4. "Il a lancé dans la mer les chars de Pharaon et son armée; Ses combattants d`élite ont été engloutis dans la mer Rouge."

5. The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.
5. Les flots les ont couverts: Ils sont descendus au fond des eaux, comme une pierre.
5. Ny lalina nanarona azy: nilentika tany ambany indrindra tahaka ny vato izy.
6. Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
6. "Ta droite, ô Éternel! a signalé sa force; Ta droite, ô Éternel! a écrasé l`ennemi."
6. "Ny tananao ankavanana, Jehovah ô, efa malaza amin' ny hery; ny tananao ankavanana, Jehovah ô, nanorotoro ny fahavalo."
7. And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.
7. "Par la grandeur de ta majesté Tu renverses tes adversaires; Tu déchaînes ta colère: Elle les consume comme du chaume."

8. And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.
8. Au souffle de tes narines, les eaux se sont amoncelées, Les courants se sont dressés comme une muraille, Les flots se sont durcis au milieu de la mer.

9. The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
9. "L`ennemi disait: Je poursuivrai, j`atteindrai, Je partagerai le butin; Ma vengeance sera assouvie, Je tirerai l`épée, ma main les détruira."
9. "Hoy ny fahavalo: Hanenjika aho, hahatratra aho, hizara babo aho ; ho afa-po eo aminy ny filàko; hotsoahako ny sabatro, ka hamongotra azy ny tanako."
10. Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
10. "Tu as soufflé de ton haleine: La mer les a couverts; Ils se sont enfoncés comme du plomb, Dans la profondeur des eaux."
10. Ny fofonainao no nitsofanao, dia nanarona azy ny ranomasina: Nilentika tahaka ny firaka ao amin' ny rano mahery izy.
11. Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
11. Qui est comme toi parmi les dieux, ô Éternel? Qui est comme toi magnifique en sainteté, Digne de louanges, Opérant des prodiges?
11. Jehovah ô, iza moa no tahaka Anao amin' izay andriamanitra? Iza moa no tahaka Anao, Izay malaza amin' ny fahamasinana, atahorana amin' ny fiderana, manao fahagagana?
12. Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.
12. Tu as étendu ta droite: La terre les a engloutis.
12. Nahinjitrao ny tananao ankavanana, dia nitelina ireo ny tany.
13. Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.
13. "Par ta miséricorde tu as conduit, Tu as délivré ce peuple; Par ta puissance tu le diriges Vers la demeure de ta sainteté."
13. Tarihinao amin' ny famindramponao ny firenena izay navotanao, ka entinao amin' ny herinao ho any amin' ny fonenanao masina izy.
14. The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.
14. "Les peuples l`apprennent, et ils tremblent: La terreur s`empare des Philistins;"
14. "Handre ny olona ka hatahotra; alahelo no hahazo ny mponin' i Palestina."
15. Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.
15. "Les chefs d`Édom s`épouvantent; Un tremblement saisit les guerriers de Moab; Tous les habitants de Canaan tombent en défaillance."
15. "Ho gaga ny loham-pirenen' i Edoma; hangovitra ny lehilahy maherin' i Moaba; ho fongana ny mponin' i Kanana rehetra."
16. Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.
16. "La crainte et la frayeur les surprendront; Par la grandeur de ton bras Ils deviendront muets comme une pierre, Jusqu`à ce que ton peuple soit passé, ô Éternel! Jusqu`à ce qu`il soit passé, Le peuple que tu as acquis."
16. "Tahotra sy hovitra no hahazo azy; noho ny halehiben' ny sandrinao dia hangina tahaka ny vato izy; mandra-pandalon' ny olonao, Jehovah ô, mandra-pandalon' ny olona izay novidinao."
17. Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O LORD, which thy hands have established.
17. Tu les amèneras et tu les établiras sur la montagne de ton héritage, Au lieu que tu as préparé pour ta demeure, ô Éternel! Au sanctuaire, Seigneur! que tes mains ont fondé.
17. "Dia hampiditra azy Ianao ka hamponina azy ao amin' ny tendrombohitra lovanao; ao amin' ny fitoerana nataonao hitoerana, Jehovah ô, dia ao amin' ny fitoerana masina naorin' ny tananao, Tompo ô."
18. The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.
18. L`Éternel régnera éternellement et à toujours.
18. Hanjaka mandrakizay doria Jehovah.
19. For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
19. "Car les chevaux de Pharaon, ses chars et ses cavaliers sont entrés dans la mer, Et l`Éternel a ramené sur eux les eaux de la mer; Mais les enfants d`Israël ont marché à sec au milieu de la mer."
19. "Fa niditra teo amin' ny ranomasina ny soavalin' i Farao sy ny kalesiny ary ny mpitaingin-tsoavaliny, ary Jehovah nampikatona ny ranomasina taminy; fa ny Zanak' Isiraely kosa nandeha tamin' ny tany maina teo afovoan' ny ranomasina."
20. And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
20. Marie, la prophétesse, soeur d`Aaron, prit à la main un tambourin, et toutes les femmes vinrent après elle, avec des tambourins et en dansant.
20. Ary Miriama mpaminanivavy anabavin' i Arona, dia nitondra ny ampongatapaka teny an-tanany, ary nivoaka nanaraka azy ny vehivavy rehetra nitondra ampongatapaka sady nandihy.
21. And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
21. "Marie répondait aux enfants d`Israël: Chantez à l`Éternel, car il a fait éclater sa gloire; Il a précipité dans la mer le cheval et son cavalier."
21. "Ary namaly azy ireo Miriama hoe: Mihirà ho an' i Jehovah, fa nandresy tamim-boninahitra Izy; ny soavaly sy ny mpitaingina azy dia nariany ao amin' ny ranomasina."
The Waters of Marah and Elim
22. So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
22. "Moïse fit partir Israël de la mer Rouge. Ils prirent la direction du désert de Schur; et, après trois journées de marche dans le désert, ils ne trouvèrent point d`eau."
22. "Ary Mosesy nitondra ny Isiraely avy tao amin' ny Ranomasina Mena, dia nandroso ho any an' efitra Sora izy ; ary nandeha hateloana tany an' efitra izy ka tsy nahita rano."
23. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
23. "Ils arrivèrent à Mara; mais ils ne purent pas boire l`eau de Mara parce qu`elle était amère. C`est pourquoi ce lieu fut appelé Mara."
23. "Ary rehefa tonga tao Mara izy, dia tsy nahasotro ny rano tao Mara, satria nangidy izany; koa izany no nanaovany ny anarany hoe Mara."
24. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
24. Le peuple murmura contre Moïse, en disant: Que boirons-nous?
24. Dia nimonomonona tamin' i Mosesy ny olona ka nanao hoe: Inona no hosotroinay?
25. And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
25. "Moïse cria à l`Éternel; et l`Éternel lui indiqua un bois, qu`il jeta dans l`eau. Et l`eau devint douce. Ce fut là que l`Éternel donna au peuple des lois et des ordonnances, et ce fut là qu`il le mit à l`épreuve."
25. Ary dia nitaraina tamin' i Jehovah izy, ka nanehoan' i Jehovah hazo anankiray, ary rehefa natsipiny tao anatin' ny rano izany, dia tonga mamy ny rano. Tao no nanomezan' i Jehovah lalàna sy fitsipika ho azy, ary tao no nizahany toetra azy,
26. And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
26. "Il dit: Si tu écoutes attentivement la voix de l`Éternel, ton Dieu, si tu fais ce qui est droit à ses yeux, si tu prêtes l`oreille à ses commandements, et si tu observes toutes ses lois, je ne te frapperai d`aucune des maladies dont j`ai frappé les Égyptiens; car je suis l`Éternel, qui te guérit."
26. "ka hoy Izy: Raha hazoto hihaino ny feon' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao ka hanao izay mahitsy eo imasony sy hihaino ny lalàny ary hitandrina ny didiny rehetra, dia tsy hisy hataoko aminao ireny aretina rehetra ireny, izay nataoko tamin' ny Egyptiana; fa Izaho no Jehovah Izay manasitrana anao."
27. And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
27. Ils arrivèrent à Élim, où il y avait douze sources d`eau et soixante-dix palmiers. Ils campèrent là, près de l`eau.
27. Ary tonga tao Elima izy, izay nisy loharano roa ambin' ny folo sy hazo palma fitopolo, dia nitoby teo anilan' ny rano izy.
