Zophar
1. Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

1. Dia namaly Zofara Namatita ka nanao hoe:
2. Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
2. Mes pensées me forcent à répondre, Et mon agitation ne peut se contenir.
2. Noho izany no mahatonga ny eritreritro hamaly, ary izany no manafaingana ahy.
3. I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
3. "J`ai entendu des reproches qui m`outragent; Le souffle de mon intelligence donnera la réplique."
3. "Reko ny anatra mampahamenatra ahy; ary ny fanahin' ny fahalalako no mahatonga ahy hamaly."
4. Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
4. Ne sais-tu pas que, de tout temps, Depuis que l`homme a été placé sur la terre,
4. Tsy fantatrareo va fa hatramin' ny ela, hatrizay nampitoerana ny olona tety ambonin' ny tany,
5. That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
5. Le triomphe des méchants a été court, Et la joie de l`impie momentanée?
5. Dia vetivety foana ny firavoravoan' ny ratsy fanahy, ary indray mipì-maso monja ny fifalian'ny mpihatsaravelatsihy?
6. Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;
6. Quand il s`élèverait jusqu`aux cieux, Et que sa tête toucherait aux nues,
6. Na dia mipaka amin' ny lanitra aza ny haavony, ka mitehika amin' ny rahona ny lohany,
7. Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
7. Il périra pour toujours comme son ordure, Et ceux qui le voyaient diront: Où est-il?
7. "Dia ho very mandrakizay toy ny dikiny ihany izy; izay nahita azy dia hanao hoe: Aiza izy?"
8. He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.
8. "Il s`envolera comme un songe, et on ne le trouvera plus; Il disparaîtra comme une vision nocturne;"
8. "Hanidina tahaka ny nofy izy ka tsy ho hita; eny, hampandosirina tahaka ny tsindrimandry amin' ny alina izy."
9. The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.
9. L`oeil qui le regardait ne le regardera plus, Le lieu qu`il habitait ne l`apercevra plus.
9. "Ny maso izay nijery azy koa dia tsy hahita azy intsony; ary tsy hahita azy intsony ny fitoerany."
10. His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.
10. Ses fils seront assaillis par les pauvres, Et ses mains restitueront ce qu`il a pris par violence.
10. Ny zanany hitambitamby amin' ny mahantra ary ny tanany no hampody ny hareny.
11. His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.
11. La vigueur de la jeunesse, qui remplissait ses membres, Aura sa couche avec lui dans la poussière.
11. Ny taolany dia feno ny fahotan' ny fahatanorany izay hampandry azy ao amin' ny vovoka.
12. Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;
12. Le mal était doux à sa bouche, Il le cachait sous sa langue,
12. Na dia mamy ao am-bavany aza ny faharatsiana, ka afeniny ao ambanin' ny lelany,
13. Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:
13. "Il le savourait sans l`abandonner, Il le retenait au milieu de son palais;"
13. Na dia tsitsiny aza izany ka tsy foiny, fa mbola tehiriziny ao amin' ny lanilaniny,
14. Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.
14. Mais sa nourriture se transformera dans ses entrailles, Elle deviendra dans son corps un venin d`aspic.
14. Dia miova ny haniny ao an-kibony, ka ny aferon' ny vipera no ao anatiny.
15. He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
15. "Il a englouti des richesses, il les vomira; Dieu les chassera de son ventre."
15. "Harena no nateliny, nefa haloany indray; holoaran' Andriamanitra hiala ao an-kibony izany."
16. He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him.
16. Il a sucé du venin d`aspic, La langue de la vipère le tuera.
16. "Ny poizin' ny vipera no hotsentsefiny; hahafaty azy ny lelan' ny menarana."
17. He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
17. Il ne reposera plus ses regards sur les ruisseaux, Sur les torrents, sur les fleuves de miel et de lait.
17. Tsy hahita ny renirano, ny ony, ny tantely vaky sy dibera izy.
18. That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.
18. "Il rendra ce qu`il a gagné, et n`en profitera plus; Il restituera tout ce qu`il a pris, et n`en jouira plus."
18. Tsy azony atelina izay nikelezany aina, fa tsy maintsy hampodiny: Ho arakaraka ny fananany no hanonerany, ary tsy hanam-pifaliana amin' izany izy.
19. Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;
19. Car il a opprimé, délaissé les pauvres, Il a ruiné des maisons et ne les a pas rétablies.
19. "Fa nampahory sy nahafoy ny mahantra izy, ka naka an-keriny ny trano izay tsy naoriny;"
20. Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
20. "Son avidité n`a point connu de bornes; Mais il ne sauvera pas ce qu`il avait de plus cher."
20. Tsy hahay mionona tokoa ny kibony, ary tsy hahavonjy izay iriny izy.
21. There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
21. "Rien n`échappait à sa voracité; Mais son bien-être ne durera pas."
21. Tsy hisy ho tavela ny haniny, ary tsy hisy olona hitady ny fananany.
22. In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
22. "Au milieu de l`abondance il sera dans la détresse; La main de tous les misérables se lèvera sur lui."
22. "Ho sorisorena ao anatin' ny fananana be izy; ny tanan' ny ratsy fanahy rehetra hamely azy."
23. When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
23. Et voici, pour lui remplir le ventre, Dieu enverra sur lui le feu de sa colère, Et le rassasiera par une pluie de traits.
23. "Rehefa ho fenony ny kibony, dia halefan' Andriamanitra ny firehetan' ny fahatezerany; ary halatsany aminy toy ny ranonorana izany, raha eo am-pihinanana izy."
24. He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
24. S`il échappe aux armes de fer, L`arc d`airain le transpercera.
24. "Handositra ny fitaovam-piadiana vy izy, nefa hahavoa azy miboroaka ny tsipìka varahina;"
25. It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
25. Il arrache de son corps le trait, Qui étincelle au sortir de ses entrailles, Et il est en proie aux terreurs de la mort.
25. "Tsoahany izany, ka mivoaka avy amin' ny tenany; eny, ny sabatra manelatselatra dia mivoaka avy ao amin' ny aferony: tahotra no eo aminy."
26. All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.
26. "Toutes les calamités sont réservées à ses trésors; Il sera consumé par un feu que n`allumera point l`homme, Et ce qui restera dans sa tente en deviendra la pâture."
26. "Ny fahamaizinana rehetra dia ho voarakitra ao amin' ny toerany miafina; afo tsy tsofina no handany azy; ho levona izay sisa ao an-dainy."
27. The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
27. Les cieux dévoileront son iniquité, Et la terre s`élèvera contre lui.
27. Hambaran' ny lanitra ny helony, ary ny tany hitsangana hiampanga azy,
28. The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
28. Les revenus de sa maison seront emportés, Ils disparaîtront au jour de la colère de Dieu.
28. Ho lasa ny harena tafiditra ao an-tranony, ary ho levona ny fananany amin' ny andron' ny fahatezerany.
29. This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
29. Telle est la part que Dieu réserve au méchant, Tel est l`héritage que Dieu lui destine.
29. Izany no anjaran' ny ratsy fanahy avy amin' Andriamanitra sy lova voatendry ho azy avy amin' Andriamanitra.
