Promise of Restoration
1. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

2. Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;
2. Ainsi parle l`Éternel, qui fait ces choses, L`Éternel, qui les conçoit et les exécute, Lui, dont le nom est l`Éternel:
2. "Izao no lazain' i Jehovah, Mpanao izany, dia Jehovah Izay namorona izany mba hampitoetra azy; Jehovah no anarany:"
3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
3. "Invoque-moi, et je te répondrai; Je t`annoncerai de grandes choses, des choses cachées, Que tu ne connais pas."

5. They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
5. "Quand on s`avancera pour combattre les Chaldéens, Et qu`elles seront remplies des cadavres des hommes Que je frapperai dans ma colère et dans ma fureur, Et à cause de la méchanceté desquels je cacherai ma face à cette ville;"

6. Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
6. Voici, je lui donnerai la guérison et la santé, je les guérirai, Et je leur ouvrirai une source abondante de paix et de fidélité.

7. And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
7. Je ramènerai les captifs de Juda et les captifs d`Israël, Et je les rétablirai comme autrefois.

8. And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
8. Je les purifierai de toutes les iniquités qu`ils ont commises contre moi, Je leur pardonnerai toutes les iniquités par lesquelles ils m`ont offensé, Par lesquelles ils se sont révoltés contre moi.

9. And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
9. "Cette ville sera pour moi un sujet de joie, de louange et de gloire, Parmi toutes les nations de la terre, Qui apprendront tout le bien que je leur ferai; Elles seront étonnées et émues de tout le bonheur Et de toute la postérité que je leur accorderai."

10. Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
10. "Ainsi parle l`Éternel: On entendra encore dans ce lieu Dont vous dites: Il est désert, il n`y a plus d`hommes, plus de bêtes; On entendra dans les villes de Juda et dans les rues de Jérusalem, Dévastées, privées d`hommes, d`habitants, de bêtes,"
10. Izao no lazain' i Jehovah: Mbola ho re indray eto amin' ity tany ity, izay ataonareo hoe rava, ka tsy hisy olona na biby, dia eto amin' ny tanànan' ny Joda sy ao amin' ny lalamben' i Jerosalema izay efa lao, ka tsy misy olona na mponina na biby,
11. The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
11. Les cris de réjouissance et les cris d`allégresse, Les chants du fiancé et les chants de la fiancée, La voix de ceux qui disent: Louez l`Éternel des armées, Car l`Éternel est bon, car sa miséricorde dure à toujours! La voix de ceux qui offrent des sacrifices d`actions de grâces Dans la maison de l`Éternel. Car je ramènerai les captifs du pays, je les rétablirai comme autrefois, Dit l`Éternel.
11. "Ny feo mifaly sy ny feo miravoravo, ny feon' ny mpampakatra sy ny feon' ny ampakarina ary ny feon' izay manao hoe: Miderà an' i Jehovah, Tompon' ny maro, fa tsara Jehovah, fa mandrakizay ny famindrampony; sy ny an' izay mitondra fanati-piderana ho ao an-tranon' i Jehovah.Fa hampodiko avy amin' ny fahababoana ny tany ho toy ny tamin' ny voalohany, hoy Jehovah."
12. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
12. Ainsi parle l`Éternel des armées: Il y aura encore dans ce lieu Qui est désert, sans hommes ni bêtes, Et dans toutes ses villes, Il y aura des demeures pour les bergers Faisant reposer leurs troupeaux.
12. Izao no lazain' i Jehovah, Tompon' ny maro: Eto amin' ity tany efa lao tsy misy olona na biby ity indray sy amin' ny tanànany rehetra, dia mbola hisy fonenan' ny mpiandry ondry hampandry ny ondry aman' osiny,
13. In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.
13. Dans les villes de la montagne, dans les villes de la plaine, Dans les villes du midi, Dans le pays de Benjamin et aux environs de Jérusalem, Et dans les villes de Juda, Les brebis passeront encore sous la main de celui qui les compte, Dit l`Éternel.
13. Dia amin' ny tanàna eny an-tendrombohitra sy eny amin' ny tanàna eny an-dohasaha, ary eny amin' ny tanàna amin' ny tany atsimo, sy amin' ny tanin' ny Benjamina, sy amin' ny toerana manodidina an' i Jerosalema avy amin' ny tanànan' ny Joda, ary ny ondry aman' osy mbola handroso araka ny fitondran' ny mpanisa azy, hoy Jehovah.
14. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
14. Voici, les jours viennent, dit l`Éternel, Où j`accomplirai la bonne parole Que j`ai dite sur la maison d`Israël et sur la maison de Juda.
14. Indro, avy ny andro, hoy Jehovah, izay hanatanterahako ny zava-tsoa izay nampanantenaiko ny Zanak' Isiraely sy ny taranak' i Joda.
15. In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
15. "En ces jours et en ce temps-là, Je ferai éclore à David un germe de justice; Il pratiquera la justice et l`équité dans le pays."

16. In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
16. "En ces jours-là, Juda sera sauvé, Jérusalem aura la sécurité dans sa demeure; Et voici comment on l`appellera: L`Éternel notre justice."

17. For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;

17. "Fa izao no lazain' i Jehovah: Davida tsy ho diso lehilahy hipetraka eo amin' ny sezafiandrianan' ny taranak' Isiraely;"
18. Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
18. Les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, ne manqueront jamais devant moi de successeurs Pour offrir des holocaustes, brûler de l`encens avec les offrandes, Et faire des sacrifices tous les jours.

19. And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,

20. Izao no lazain' i Jehovah: Raha mahafoana ny fanekeko ny amin' ny andro sy ny fanekeko ny amin' ny alina ianareo, m
20. Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
20. Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Si vous pouvez rompre mon alliance avec le jour Et mon alliance avec la nuit, En sorte que le jour et la nuit ne soient plus en leur temps,
21. Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
21. Alors aussi mon alliance sera rompue avec David, mon serviteur, En sorte qu`il n`aura point de fils régnant sur son trône, Et mon alliance avec les Lévites, les sacrificateurs, qui font mon service.
21. Dia ho azo foanana koa ny fanekeko tamin' i Davida mpanompoko, tsy hananany zanakalahy hanjaka eo amin' ny sezafiandrianany sy ny amin' ny Levita mpisorona, mpanompoko.
22. As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
22. De même qu`on ne peut compter l`armée des cieux, Ni mesurer le sable de la mer, De même je multiplierai la postérité de David, mon serviteur, Et les Lévites qui font mon service.

23. Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

24. Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
24. N`as-tu pas remarqué ce que disent ces gens: Les deux familles que l`Éternel avait choisies, il les a rejetées? Ainsi ils méprisent mon peuple, Au point de ne plus le regarder comme une nation.
24. "Tsy hitanao va izay nolazain' ity firenena ity hoe: Ny ankohonana roa izay nofidin' i Jehovah dia efa nariany; toy izany no nanamavoany ny oloko ka dia tsy ho vanon-ko firenena eo imasony intsony izy."
25. Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
25. Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Si je n`ai pas fait mon alliance avec le jour et avec la nuit, Si je n`ai pas établi les lois des cieux et de la terre,
25. Izao no lazain' i Jehovah: Raha tsy amin' ny andro sy ny alina ny fanekeko, ary raha tsy notendreko ny lalàna fitondrana ny lanitra sy ny tany,
26. Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
26. Alors aussi je rejetterai la postérité de Jacob et de David, mon serviteur, Et je ne prendrai plus dans sa postérité ceux qui domineront Sur les descendants d`Abraham, d`Isaac et de Jacob. Car je ramènerai leurs captifs, et j`aurai pitié d`eux.
26. "Dia hariako ny taranak' i Jakoba sy Davida mpanompoko, ka ny taranany tsy mba hanalako ho mpanapaka ny taranak' i Abrahama sy Isaka ary Jakoba; fa hampodiko avy amin' ny fahababoana izy ka hamindrako fo."
