The New Stone Tablets
1. And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

1. "Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Mosesy: Mipeha vato fisaka roa ho anao tahaka ilay voalohany; dia hosoratako eo amin' ireo vato fisaka ireo ny teny izay tamin' ireo vato fisaka voalohany, izay novakinao."
2. And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.
2. "Sois prêt de bonne heure, et tu monteras dès le matin sur la montagne de Sinaï; tu te tiendras là devant moi, sur le sommet de la montagne."
2. Ary mivonòna raha maraina, dia miakara ho ao an-tendrombohitra Sinay raha maraina, ka misehoa amiko ao ianao, dia ao an-tampon' ny tendrombohitra.
3. And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
3. "Que personne ne monte avec toi, et que personne ne paraisse sur toute la montagne; et même que ni brebis ni boeufs ne paissent près de cette montagne."
3. "Ary tsy hisy olona hiara-miakatra aminao, ary aoka tsy hisy olona ho hita manerana ny tendrombohitra rehetra; ary aza avela hihinana eo anoloan' izany tendrombohitra izany ny ondry aman' osy mbamin' ny omby."
4. And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
4. "Moïse tailla deux tables de pierre comme les premières; il se leva de bon matin, et monta sur la montagne de Sinaï, selon l`ordre que l`Éternel lui avait donné, et il prit dans sa main les deux tables de pierre."
4. "Dia nipaika vato fisaka roa tahaka ilay tamin' ny voalohany izy; ary nifoha maraina koa Mosesy, ka niakatra tao an-tendrombohitra Sinay, araka izay efa nandidian' i Jehovah azy, dia nentiny teny an-tanany ny vato fisaka roa."
5. And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
5. L`Éternel descendit dans une nuée, se tint là auprès de lui, et proclama le nom de l`Éternel.
5. Ary Jehovah dia nidina tanatin' ny rahona, ka nijanona niaraka taminy teo sady nanambara ny Anaran' i Jehovah.
6. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
6. Et l`Éternel passa devant lui, et s`écria: L`Éternel, l`Éternel, Dieu miséricordieux et compatissant, lent à la colère, riche en bonté et en fidélité,
6. Ary Jehovah nandalo teo anoloany ka nanambara hoe: Jehovah, Jehovah Andriamanitra, mamindra fo sy miantra, mahari-po sady be fahatsarana sy fahamarinana,
7. Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
7. qui conserve son amour jusqu`à mille générations, qui pardonne l`iniquité, la rébellion et le péché, mais qui ne tient point le coupable pour innocent, et qui punit l`iniquité des pères sur les enfants et sur les enfants des enfants jusqu`à la troisième et à la quatrième génération!
7. "Mitahiry famindrampo ho an' ny an' arivony, mamela heloka sy fahadisoana ary fahotana, fa tsy hanamarina ny meloka na oviana na oviana; mamaly ny heloky ny ray amin' ny zanaka sy amin' ny zafy, hatramin' ny zafiafy sy ny zafindohalika."
8. And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

9. And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O LORD, let my LORD, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
9. "Il dit: Seigneur, si j`ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, que le Seigneur marche au milieu de nous, car c`est un peuple au cou roide; pardonne nos iniquités et nos péchés, et prends-nous pour ta possession."
9. "Ary hoy izy: Tompo ô, raha mahita fitia eo imasonao aho ankehitriny, mifona aminao aho, aoka ny Tompo handeha ao afovoanay; fa firenena mafy hatoka izy, ka mamelà ny helokay sy ny fahotanay, ary raiso ho lovanao izahay."
10. And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
10. "L`Éternel répondit: Voici, je traite une alliance. Je ferai, en présence de tout ton peuple, des prodiges qui n`ont eu lieu dans aucun pays et chez aucune nation; tout le peuple qui t`environne verra l`oeuvre de l`Éternel, et c`est par toi que j`accomplirai des choses terribles."
10. "Ary hoy Izy: Indro, manao fanekena Aho; eo anatrehan' ny olonao rehetra no hanaovako zava-mahagaga, izay tsy mbola natao tany amin' ny tany rehetra, na tany amin' ny firenena rehetra; ary ny olona rehetra izay itoeranao dia hahita ny asan' i Jehovah, fa zava-mahatahotra no hataoko miaraka aminao."
11. Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
11. Prends garde à ce que je t`ordonne aujourd`hui. Voici, je chasserai devant toi les Amoréens, les Cananéens, les Héthiens, les Phéréziens, les Héviens et les Jébusiens.
11. "Tandremo izay andidiako anao anio; indro, efa horoahiko hiala eo anatrehanao ny Amorita sy ny Kananita sy ny Hetita sy ny Perizita sy ny Hivita ary ny Jebosita."
12. Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
12. Garde-toi de faire alliance avec les habitants du pays où tu dois entrer, de peur qu`ils ne soient un piège pour toi.
12. Koa mitandrema, fandrao hanao fanekena amin' ny mponina eo amin' ny tany izay halehanao ianao, ka ho fandrika eo afovoanao izany.
13. But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:
13. Au contraire, vous renverserez leurs autels, vous briserez leurs statues, et vous abattrez leurs idoles.
13. Fa ravao ny alitarany, torotoroy ny sariny ary jinjao ny tsangan-kazony.
14. For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
14. "Tu ne te prosterneras point devant un autre dieu; car l`Éternel porte le nom de jaloux, il est un Dieu jaloux."
14. "Fa tsy hiankohoka amin' andriamani-kafa ianao; fa Jehovah, izay Saro-piaro no Anarany, dia Andriamanitra saro-piaro,"
15. Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
15. "Garde-toi de faire alliance avec les habitants du pays, de peur que, se prostituant à leurs dieux et leur offrant des sacrifices, ils ne t`invitent, et que tu ne manges de leurs victimes;"
15. "Fandrao hanao fanekena amin' ny mponina eo amin' ny tany ianao, ary hijangajanga hanaraka ny andriamaniny izy ireo sy hanao sorona ho an' ny andriamaniny, ary hisy hiantso anao ka hihinana amin' ny fanatiny ianao;"
16. And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
16. de peur que tu ne prennes de leurs filles pour tes fils, et que leurs filles, se prostituant à leurs dieux, n`entraînent tes fils à se prostituer à leurs dieux.
16. Ary haka amin' ny zanany vavy ianao ho an' ny zanakao lahy, ary hijangajanga hanaraka ny andriamaniny ny zanany vavy ka hampijangajanga ny zanakao lahy hanaraka ny andriamaniny.
17. Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
17. Tu ne te feras point de dieu en fonte.
17. Aza manao andriamanitra an' idina ho anao.
18. The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
18. "Tu observeras la fête des pains sans levain; pendant sept jours, au temps fixé dans le mois des épis, tu mangeras des pains sans levain, comme je t`en ai donné l`ordre, car c`est dans le mois des épis que tu es sorti d`Égypte."
18. Tandremo ny andro firavoravoana momba ny mofo tsy misy lalivay. Hafitoana no hihinananao mofo tsy misy lalivay, araka ny nandidiako anao amin' ny fotoan' ny volana Abiba, fa tamin' ny volana Abiba no nivoahanao avy tany Egypta.
19. All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.
19. Tout premier-né m`appartient, même tout mâle premier-né dans les troupeaux de gros et de menu bétail.
19. Ahy ny voalohan-teraka rehetra, mbamin' ny voalohan-teraky ny biby fiompinao rehetra, na omby na ondry, dia ny lahy.
20. But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
20. "Tu rachèteras avec un agneau le premier-né de l`âne; et si tu ne le rachètes pas, tu lui briseras la nuque. Tu rachèteras tout premier-né de tes fils; et l`on ne se présentera point à vide devant ma face."
20. "Fa ny voalohan-teraky ny boriky dia havotanao zanak' ondry; ary raha tsy havotanao izany, dia hotapahinao ny vozony. Ny voalohan-teraka rehetra amin' ny zanakao lahy dia havotanao. ary tsy hisy hiseho foana eo anatrehako."
21. Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
21. "Tu travailleras six jours, et tu te reposeras le septième jour; tu te reposeras, même au temps du labourage et de la moisson."
21. "Henemana no hiasanao, fa amin' ny andro fahafito dia hitsahatra ianao; amin' ny fotoam-piasana sy amin' ny fotoam-pijinjana dia hitsahatra ianao."
22. And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.
22. Tu célébreras la fête des semaines, des prémices de la moisson du froment, et la fête de la récolte, à la fin de l`année.
22. Ary tandremo ny andro firavoravoana ny amin' ireo herinandro momba ny voaloham-bokatry ny varimbazaha amin' ny fararano, ary ny andro firavoravoana momba ny fanangonana amin' ny faran' ny taona.
23. Thrice in the year shall all your menchildren appear before the LORD God, the God of Israel.
23. Trois fois par an, tous les mâles se présenteront devant le Seigneur, l`Éternel, Dieu d`Israël.
23. Intelo isan-kerintaona ny lehilahy rehetra aminao no hiseho eo anatrehan' i Jehovah Tompo, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely.
24. For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.
24. "Car je chasserai les nations devant toi, et j`étendrai tes frontières; et personne ne convoitera ton pays, pendant que tu monteras pour te présenter devant l`Éternel, ton Dieu, trois fois par an."
24. "Fa handroaka firenena eo anoloanao Aho ka hanitatra ny fari-taninao; ary tsy hisy olona haniry ny taninao, raha miakatra hiseho eo anatrehan' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao intelo isan-kerintaona ianao."
25. Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
25. "Tu n`offriras point avec du pain levé le sang de la victime immolée en mon honneur; et le sacrifice de la fête de Pâque ne sera point gardé pendant la nuit jusqu`au matin."
25. "Aza manatitra ny ràn' ny fanatitro miaraka amin' ny lalivay; ary aza avela ho tra-maraina ny fanatitra amin' ny andro firavoravoana amin' ny Paska."
26. The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
26. Tu apporteras à la maison de L`Éternel, ton Dieu, les prémices des premiers fruits de la terre. Tu ne feras point cuire un chevreau dans le lait de sa mère.
26. Ny santatra amin' ny voaloham-bokatry ny taninao dia haterinao ho ao an-tranon' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao. Aza mahandro zanak' osy amin' ny rononon-dreniny.
27. And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
27. "L`Éternel dit à Moïse: Écris ces paroles; car c`est conformément à ces paroles que je traite alliance avec toi et avec Israël."
27. "Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Mosesy: soraty ireo teny ireo; fa araka ny hevitr' ireo teny ireo no nanaovako fanekena taminao sy tamin' ny Isiraely."
28. And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
28. Moïse fut là avec l`Éternel quarante jours et quarante nuits. Il ne mangea point de pain, et il ne but point d`eau. Et l`Éternel écrivit sur les tables les paroles de l`alliance, les dix paroles.
28. Dia teo amin' i Jehovah efapolo andro sy efapolo alina izy, sady tsy nihinan-kanina na nisotro rano. Ary nosoratan' i Jehovah tamin' ny vato fisaka ny tenin' ny fanekena, dia ny didy folo.
The Radiant Face of Moses
29. And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
29. "Moïse descendit de la montagne de Sinaï, ayant les deux tables du témoignage dans sa main, en descendant de la montagne; et il ne savait pas que la peau de son visage rayonnait, parce qu`il avait parlé avec l`Éternel."
29. Ary izao no niseho, rehefa nidina avy tao an-tendrombohitra Sinay i Mosesy niaraka tamin' ny vato fisaka roa nisy ny Vavolombelona teny an-tanan'i Mosesy, rehefa nidina avy tao an-tendrombohitra izy, dia tsy fantatr' i Mosesy fa namirapiratra ny hoditry ny tavany raha niresaka taminy izy.
30. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
30. "Aaron et tous les enfants d`Israël regardèrent Moïse, et voici la peau de son visage rayonnait; et ils craignaient de s`approcher de lui."
30. Ary nony hitan' i Arona sy ny Zanak' Isiraely rehetra Mosesy, fa indro, namirapiratra ny hoditry ny tavany, dia natahotra hanatona azy izy ireo.
31. And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
31. "Moïse les appela; Aaron et tous les principaux de l`assemblée vinrent auprès de lui, et il leur parla."
31. "Ary Mosesy niantso azy ireo; dia niverina ho eo aminy Arona sy ny mpanapaka ny fiangonana rehetra; ary Mosesy niresaka tamin' izy ireo."
32. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.
32. Après cela, tous les enfants d`Israël s`approchèrent, et il leur donna tous les ordres qu`il avait reçus de l`Éternel, sur la montagne de Sinaï.
32. "Ary rahefa izany dia nanatona ny Zanak' Isiraely rehetra; ary Mosesy nandidy azy izay rehetra efa nolazain' i Jehovah taminy tao an-tendrombohitra Sinay."
33. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
33. Lorsque Moïse eut achevé de leur parler, il mit un voile sur son visage.
33. Ary mandra-pahatapitry ny nitenenan' i Mosesy tamin' izy ireo, dia nasiany fisalobonana teo amin' ny tavany.
34. But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
34. "Quand Moïse entrait devant l`Éternel, pour lui parler, il ôtait le voile, jusqu`à ce qu`il sortît; et quand il sortait, il disait aux enfants d`Israël ce qui lui avait été ordonné."
34. Fa rehefa niditra teo anatrehan' i Jehovah Mosesy hiteny aminy, dia nesoriny ny fisalobonana mandra-pivoakany. dia nivoaka izy ka niteny tamin' ny Zanak' Isiraely izay efa nandidiana azy.
35. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
35. "Les enfants d`Israël regardaient le visage de Moïse, et voyait que la peau de son visage rayonnait; et Moïse remettait le voile sur son visage jusqu`à ce qu`il entrât, pour parler avec l`Éternel."
35. " Ary hitan' ny Zanak' Isiraely ny tavan' i Mosesy, fa namirapiratra ny hoditry ny tavan' i Mosesy; dia nataon' i Mosesy teo amin' ny tavany indray ny fisalobonana, mandra-pidirany hiteny aminy."
